Great
Bought this camera for recording a construction project. I was considering the other timelapse cameras from some other brands, but after reading the reviews below, what concerns me most was the user experience and battery life. Also the instruction manuals seem not to state clearly enough for a newbie like me or people who have no experience in recording time lapse video. The bcc2000 plus kit is indeed professional for construction projects, a little bit more expensive than others though. So far I am pleased with the camera, it is fairly simple to use, and the set-up menu is quite intuitive. Setting up the camera takes no effort. I am kind of scared to screw up the footage which only has one shot chance. So I did some research on this field, found brinno maybe worth to try. I have been recording the time-lapse video for two weeks, and the battery life seems to have no problem, but we will see. I’ll keep updating.

Perfect product
Bought this to record the construction of a garden office shed. Though I have only been using it for a few weeks I am very impressed. Overall I am glad that I splurged for the extender kit. The camera has been installed up on the roof of my house, too high to reach without a ladder. Because I have the extension cable I can plug it into my tablet at any time to check how the batteries are doing and make sure the camera is doing everything it should do. My favourite part is that I can easily download the video files. My wife and I have become too obsessed with checking the footage that we have created “Footage Friday” where we download and view the time lapse footage from the last week. This has been lots of fun! Some people in the other reviews have been complaining about the video quality. I don’t really understand what their fuss is about, if you factor in the price and 328 day battery life, the image quality/convenience/price ratio is more than acceptable.

Didn’t work for me.
The battery life was low. Even set to 30 min intervals. It didn’t work for the first test run, but worked for the test run (left up for a week). I tried connecting with the long USB cable to check it was working and it seemed to be. The software is a little basic. I then set it up again and left it for 11 months after checking a week into the period that it was working. I took it down after nearly a year to find…. nothing saved. I might try again, but so far it has been an expensive waste of time.

Great product!
I recently purchased this product to document an interior remodeling project. The extender kit has been really handy and the camera connects directly to my laptop so I can check the battery life and adjust the settings remotely. While checking out other reviews, I noticed some concerns regarding video quality. Personally, I find the image quality more than satisfactory, particularly when considering the competitive price point.
