Great Product
If you're in the market for a reliable and versatile garage door opener remote, the 2 for 953EV/EVC Universal Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Remote is an excellent choice. I recently purchased this set, and it has exceeded my expectations in several ways. Compatibility: One of the standout features of this remote is its wide compatibility. It works seamlessly with a variety of Chamberlain, LiftMaster, and Craftsman garage door openers, provided they operate on the 315 MHz or 390 MHz frequency. This makes it a versatile option if you have multiple garage door openers or if you’re upgrading from an older system. Ease of Programming: Setting up the remotes was a breeze. The instructions provided were clear and concise, making the programming process straightforward. I was able to sync both remotes to my garage door opener within minutes. The setup process is user-friendly and doesn't require any special tools or technical know-how. Build Quality: The build quality of these remotes is impressive for the price. They feel sturdy and durable, with well-made buttons that respond accurately to presses. The compact design fits comfortably in your hand and is easy to store in a pocket or on a keychain. Performance: In terms of performance, these remotes have been reliable and responsive. They work from a reasonable distance, and I’ve had no issues with the signal strength. Whether I'm pulling into the driveway or standing outside, the remote consistently opens the garage door without delay. Value for Money: For a pack of two remotes at such an affordable price, this set offers great value for money. It's a cost-effective way to replace lost or broken remotes or to have spares available for family members. Overall: The 2 for 953EV/EVC Universal Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Remote is a fantastic product that combines ease of use, compatibility, and durability. Whether you need a replacement remote or just want an extra one for convenience, this set is a solid choice. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a dependable garage door opener remote.

Fantastic Opener!
These are very good garage door openers. They are better than the one I am replacing because unlike my older opener that is set to a specific frequency, (purple) this opener can be programed to work with multiple frequencies. That means I can use this even with a new garage door opener system as long as I reprogram it to the new color frequency. There was only one additional step when programming and the directions were very clear and straightforward. I highly recommend these!

Older garage door openers could be a problem
Initially, I was able to pair the units with a 20 year old Liftmaster garage door opener. However, after deleting all the openers (including an existing remote and a KLIK2), I could not reprogram new remotes, old remotes and the KLIK2. The fix that worked for me was purchasing a Liftmaster 971LM remote, and at that point I was able to program the 971, existing 953, and KLIK2 easily to the garage door opener. These units seem to function normally, so what happened with my older garage door may not happen for you.

Breaks just past the return window, no warning before failure
I was hopeful that this would be a good replacement for the Chamberlain garage door opener keypad. Similar to other buyers, it worked well when I first installed it, but it broke today, 1 day past the return window. I took out the battery and replaced it. I unmounted the keypad from the wall and tried using it closer to the garage door opener. When I type in the correct code, the keypad responds as if it is opening the door; however, it will not open the door. It responds differently when I type in random numbers. For this reason, I chose not to attempt reprogramming. This keypad stopped working and seems to have lost connection with my garage door opener. I had kept the old OEM Chamberlain keypad, which was not working well. I had to type in the code repeatedly for it to work. The old OEM keypad opened the garage door. I'm going to stick with the OEM keypad, and if it continues to give me problems, I'll replace it with another OEM keypad. The reason I tried this generic universal keypad is that the OEM, Chamberlain, no longer manufactures this style of keypad that has a cover. I'd rather have keypad which works consistently than one which will randomly stop working. My Chamberlain keypads wore down with usage. The keys slowly stopped functioning well. This always gave me time to replace them without being locked out of my garage. You may be lucky and receive a keypad that works properly. All the generic keypads with the cover I looked at on Amazon have a battery-saving feature which requires you to re-enter the code after 15 seconds. My garage door takes just over 15 seconds to open. I could no longer open and close the door with one entry of the code. I really liked this feature on the OEM Chamberlain keypad. I would happily trade battery life to have that function back. If you are used to the OEM Chamberlain remote, I do not recommend this generic model. You'll be disappointed. And, you might also get stuck with a broken keypad just after the return window.

Works great, easy to program
These are working great for me. They were easy to program, and usually I just have to push the button once.(Twice, every now and then.) I bought these because I needed a new one for my new golf cart, and possibly to replace the one I already had in my truck. When I bought my condo, there was a Chamberlain garage door opener in the garage, but there was no remote for my truck. So I went to Home Depot, and bought a name brand Chamberlain Remote to open the garage door. That one remotr cost me about $40, and it's been a pain in the butt for me. Sometimes I have to push the button 10 times to get it to work. These have been much better, and they only cost about 1/3 of the price for 2 that I paid for one Chamberlain remote.
