Life saver , saves so much time

used this to identify the thread size on a head cylinder bolt i couldnt find specs on even in my service manual. works very well as expected. simple and to the point. i like the form factor to and it not being another tool in a bulk case like some thread gages and i can simply hang it on the side of the tool box always easily to be found. well made on a metal cable so i see it lasting for a decent amount of time especially for the reasonable price. as a person that collects all my hardware this will be nice to further sort them out by thread sizes as well

This nuts/bolts checker is nice. What separates it from the others? - These are stainless steel. They are not plated or coated, but 100% stainless steel. - The markings are engraved. They are not applied with paint, silk screen or some other method which would easily disappear. - They're individual, so you can take just one and easily place it in your pocket. Many others you can not. - You get both SAE and metric and it's easy to tell the difference between them.

Pros - quality is nice - fair price - has everything I need - all in one place, easy to keep track of parts Cons - hard to use the male side when you’re trying to screw one in, it is awkward to bend the wire which can put the screw off-axis as you’re trying to test it.

This is a nut and bolt gauge for determining the true size of random nuts and bolts. The overall length of the string is 30-inches. Each gauge is made of metal, and each is clearly marked with the size. There are 12 metric sizes and 14 SAE sizes. Each of the 26 gauges is just over one inch long and can measure a bolt on one end and a nut on the other. You test the gauge by literally screwing on a nut or bolt. There is no guessing or 'almosts.' Each gauge is separated by a pearl-sized ball, and it couldn't be easier to use. This is splendid. I'll be buying these as gifts.

Just what I hoped for. The pieces are well finished, with good looking screw and nut threads. Easy to read sizing on the darker metric pieces, and most of the SAE are easy to read, with some benefiting from a quick swipe of a sharpie across the numbers, followed by a quick wipe off of the surface, leaving the etched numbers darkened.

Gets the job done and should be in every technicians tool arsenal.

Works very well and it takes up no space as I can hang it

Its very handy for identifying internal/external threads or also forgiven your screw cutting . Not entirely sure if its upto inspection standards but good enough for the home enthusiast. On the whole pleased with product

This is one of those tools you know you need but you never buy. Seriously, buy it! In the few weeks since I bought it I can't tell you how many times I've used it to check the type of bolt I needed. It contains all of the most common sizes. Buy it. Hang it on the wall and be amazed how often you use it.
