High quality (used to replace glass Switch cone)
Great, used as a replacement for my Glass Hario switch which I dropped and cracked. This fits in the switch and works perfectly.

Great value piece of equipment
Used for a while now and had some great coffee from this. Easy to use and has held up well after a while. Good price too, would recommend.

Easy to use
I bought this because it's supposed to be easier to use than the standard V60. I used it the way Hario recommend, put the paper in, rinse it, then put the coffee in and pour all the water in at once. Coffee came out great, just adjust the grind size so it takes 2 minutes to filter. Best thing is no sediment in the bottom of the cup. Mainly just rinse it after use but it has been in the dishwasher.

it cracked after 6 months!
got this to replace an 8 year old clear plastic v60 which had broken due to wear and tear. this one cracked from thermal shock when pouring hot water in to wet the filter. Just buy the entry level v60.

I bought this to use with a Hario Switch base. Note the Hario switch base is not part of this - that is a separate device and purchase. Having done that, the combo has become my daily coffee making favourite. It produces a great cup with little fuss or cost. Because of the design - no ridges - this is a little different to the V60. In principle this would let less water escape down the sides of the filter - less "bypass" and therefore more efficient brewing. Whether that's accurate or not I don't know, but when matched with the switch base to allow control of immersion Vs percolation, it gives a nice way of adjusting brew balance between sharp and acidic percolation and the more deep and smooth immersion brew. With mugen and the switch base it allows us to blend both of these styles in a single process and cup. But even without worrying about the above, this brewer seems to make a drinkable cup from almost any bean and grinder choice. As usual from Hario it is well made for a plastic device and of course inexpensive. As it happens that's one thing I'd like to see - a metal version so it's easier to pack in travel luggage with risk of breaking.
