AcuRite 06006M Color Display for 5-in-1 Weather Sensors, 3.4 Oz

I purchased this display for my Husband. The original Display was damaged during a storm and the display became hard to read. instead of going back with the original display that came with the AcuRite 5-1 Weather Station we decided to get the Model 06006M. It was less expensive than the Model 01535S Display and does a better job. So far the readings have been registering good. The only little draw back, when you hang it on the wall you need to be looking at the display head on to read it. If you are sitting down and looking straight up at it you can't see the readings. We opted to wall mount instead of table mount. Table mount works great also. The display is clear and the numbers and letters are easy to read. I also like the dimming feature so the light on the display can be darkened at night. I would recommend this product if you need another display or wanting to add another display to your 5-1 Weather Station.

For me, a user of a weather station software, PC Connect feature of this model (06006) is a must-have.At first I purchased a set of a 5-in-1 sensor and a display w/o PC Connect. It was quite reasonably priced. But when I received and unpacked the package, I found that the display has no USB port nor WiFi for a PC connection. It was my mistake and I had to additionally buy this display.It's working great at the moment. I don't have any critical problem with this display. How durable is it? I don't know.The display looks colorful in the photo, but it's not a color LCD. It's just a monochrome LCD with a back light and a color film on its surface. A cheap trick. But it's OK with me. PC Connect is all what I need, and this product offers it with a lowest price.

I got a 5-in-1 sensor/display combo a year or so ago and decided I wanted to add a display upstairs. There appears to be a shockingly limited selection available to add to a 5-in-1 sensor, and I wound up with this one. I was very happy it had built-in backup power (I use an UPS with the original; power here can be a bit dodgy), and I was looking forward to the PC connectivity.The display is atrociously bright, and there's no way to turn it down. I wanted it in my bedroom, but it's so bright I can't sleep with it in there, so I put it near the bathroom instead. I have to look away when I go at night; my dark adapted eyes are painfully overwhelmed by this thing on the way to the bathroom. But I am willing to accept that because one of the things I wanted is the PC connectivity. When I get that hooked that up I can use the phone to read it, and maybe I won't care so much how bright it is. Might even hide it. lolOtherwise it seems like it's fine; it agrees with the original graphical 5-in-1 display just like one would expect - given I have only 1 sensor they should be getting the exact same data.It's not really well laid out, information-wise. This one won't show wind chill and apparent temp at the same time, the rainfall panel is clutterly difficult to read, I'm not sure what utility the piles of available alarms are, nor the "weather ticker" that runs along the bottom. I'd be happier to a simple black & white LCD display withn bigger digits and a better layout than all the gimmicky fixed colors panels that consume gobs of space but actually decrease legibility. And I'd be happier with no backlight at all than the ultra-bright searing blue-white it has.But it does what it's suppposed to do ... add a display to a 5-in-1 sensor.

I was having problems with the accurite High def display that I came with my 5 in 1 weather station. There is a problem with the keeping the rain totals and yesterday's weather data. This model does the trick for keeping accurate rain data and hooked up very easy to my original 5 in 1 weather station.

I like the remote rain gauge. Really I like everything about it. It’s the second one I’ve had. I bought the first one in 1914 and it just went bad so I got the second one.

The media could not be loaded.  Display died after 5 weeks, past the Amazon 30 day return. Warrentee is 1 year, contacted Acurite through their website, they never responded. Amazon sent me a complementary replacement. I love Acurite products, have many of their weather stations around my property. I hope the replacement lasts longer than 5 weeks.
