Great DAC...
...at a great price! Preferred to Topping E70 velvet (which caused a ground loop in my system).Bombproof build and quality internal components. Gives a detailed, musical and entertaining sound with absolutely no harshness. Recommended.

Great sound quality
I recommend this product. The bluetooth receiver is very good and the sound quality of the DAC outstanding.I'll subtract one star because, as shipped, I could not control the output volume from the bluetooth source (phone, mac, or ipad). A firmware update fixed this problem, but was a bit tricky to accomplish this since you have to use the decidedly user-unfriendly GAIA Client app. However - I did it in the end, so all good. The other small minus is that the pushbuttons on the front feel quite insubstantial -- I think they could have done a better job designing those for the price. They do work, but I hope they continue to work for the life of the unit. The little indicator light displaying whether the unit is connected to BT, USB, or digital input could be more prominent as well. That said, the sound is first-rate. If you haven't update your DAC or bluetooth receiver in the past ten years, you will be shocked how much better this is.

Excellent Dac and Bluetooth receiver
Bought the Ifi Zen one signature dac to go between Bluesound node and Primaluna evo 200 amplifier, yes, the node has an internal dac,but I've always thought it was the weak link in an excellent streamer, while not a huge difference in sound quality the Ifi has been a worthwhile upgrade, adding a tighter bass and a more dynamic sound. To those who think Bluetooth can't do hi res,or that Aptx hd is the pinnacle of Bluetooth streaming, listen to the Zen one signature or Zen blue Bluetooth receiver using the Ldac codec, sounds fantastic, showing how close BT is getting to Wi-Fi streaming,I can recommend this Dac \BT receiver, and although it may only be in my system till I can afford Chord Qutest or Merason frerot dac,I am happy to use it till that time.Simple to setup and use,5 stars. Thanks to Richer sounds and Amazon.Update:after 2 weeks running in,I must say I am quite impressed with the Zen one signature dac,a definite improvement over the Bluesound node dac, more dynamic and detailed, highly recommend this Dac to anyone looking for a reasonably priced Dac.

Fab Dac
I don't really do reviews and nor am I an budding audiophile file. I just want good-sounding music, and this piece of kit helps me achieve it.The Zen feels solid and weighty for its size. Design-wise the signature in my opinion looks 60's space retro which I like. This DAC has multiple inputs, perfect for my needs allowing me to plug in a computer (USB), streamer (digital coaxial), and cd player (digital optical) to my analog amplifier.Sound-wise the signature bought an instant smile to my face. Clarity, separation, and sound stage are an improvement on my current setup. The sound feels sweet and slightly warm which I like.

Very, very good at what it does.
I was listening to Red Book CD mostly, and I went through a serious upgrade programme which culminated in retaining the CD source but changing everything else. Well pleased with the CD, analogue and FM/DAB tuner results I got from that exercise, I just wanted a relatively low-cost way of hearing what digital streaming was about. For various reasons it is tricky for me to get an ethernet connection to my lounge, so I wanted to be able to use an iPad as a source. The iFi Zen Signature One was recommended by my local hifi shop, and they are usually analogue aficionado's, as the best compromise between cost, quality and connections. The iFi Zen seems to be able to deal with pretty-much whatever codec it is presented with.I was astonished at the result. I am using Apple Music's "lossless" stuff, but the results are very acceptable. The rest of the system is revealing, and I have since felt the need to upgrade from the wall wart power supply (there is a review of that too) to a much more expensive unit, and that has brought good results, but the combination of the cost of the two units means that it would be unwise to compare the iFi Zen Signature One cost as the only cost comparator to other equipment. However, I am now very pleased with what it produces. Play tracks comparatively with CD, analogue (black vinyl records) and the iFi Zen as a digital source, and they are all different, with the difference CD to vinyl on a decent recording being less obvious that either of them compared with the iFi digital source, but the iFi Signature is absolutely acceptable. I have my suspicion that maybe lossless doesn't quite mean what I think it means. The only disadvantage with the digital source is you get a lot less exercise as you don't need to get out of the chair to change CD or flip the record over. The benefit it does confer, however is that if someone recommends a piece of music to you, you can explore it without buying it, and you can often explore "If you like that, you might like this..." type options too. And you can produce your own radio-station just choosing track after track from your own library at the touch of a button!

Well worth the money
Bought this as an upgrade from my ARCAM rDAC. My hi-fi system is quite modest, Marantz cd player + receiver and Dali speakers. This has made an amazing difference to the clarity and placing of vocals and instruments on cd. I've been going through my cd collection and they all sound revitalised. Just finished listening to Marvin Gaye's 'What's Going On' and picking up things I never heard before. The ease of Bluetooth connectivity was also a bonus as I thought I may have trouble connecting to my Galaxy 'phone and tablet but all was good. It's so easy now to listen to Amazon Music or My Tuner Radio stations.I'm very happy with this DAC convertor and thoroughly recommend it to those interested in getting good quality sound from their music system
