For the price you get a lot. I’m very happy with this set.As expected, it’s a little dodgy, so please plan on buying heat resistant gloves and being extra careful while using this.That said it works and I was able to brand a few wooden objects and create some artworks with the various pen nibs. They really give you a lot.

I had so much fun using and learning this product as a beginner. This is a greater starter wood burner that is pretty easy to learn. I haven’t quite figured out how to properly use the stamps but I think with a lot of practice I can get it down.

I was really excited to get this "Wood Burning Tool for Beginners", which is how it is sold here on Amazon. I have always been a little curious about wood burning as a craft, and the price was right, so I was really looking forward to learning how to do it. So you might imagine my disappointment when this kit arrived and there were NO INSTRUCTIONS! How, as a beginner, am I supposed to know what to do with this stuff?! Well, the answer to that is YouTube, and I am thankful for plenty of instructional videos there. While this kit doesn't have any wood burning instructions, it does include a lot of pieces and parts to get you started off pretty well. The pen itself is included, of course, as well as an entire alphabet of letters and several stencils, including more letters, numbers, decorative designs, and seasonal and holiday motifs. There are also colored pencils with sharpeners, protective gloves (which are quite thin, fyi), a soldering iron stand, some wood squares, two keychains, and a box of nibs and tips. All of these pieces and parts are gathered together in one easy to carry and store zippered case. I'm delighted with the potential here, but I have a lot of learning to do, so I guess I'll be busy with YouTube for a while. In the meantime, I think this kit seems to be pretty good, probably at least four-star quality. But without any kind of push in the right direction in the form of an instruction manual, it's just a collection of accoutrements. Three stars.

This wood burning kit has been pretty useful. I’ve also used it to do other crafts. Pretty easy to use but the heating iron feels a little generic.
