Of Love and Sea Glass: Inspirational Quotes and Treasured Gifts From the Sea

I am an Artist and I work with oil, and vibrant colors. I Love your work OF LOVE AND SEA GLASS. My favorite book is Gifts from the Sea.. I think of myself as an Expressionist Artist. Your book is an appreciation of the search for Quite Beauty. My paintings are a meditation that allows me to be in the moment. I am aware of all the beautiful in the change of the seasons. Winter time is a time for me to find that inner space of my soul's essence and to be come one with nature. My sister collect's sea glass and sends the sea glass to me, she lives close to the Ocean.. I collect sea shells. I write poems Happiness is a dew drop on a Rose Petal that I painted. When I take walks each day, my body feels like part of the landscape. Then I go back to my canvas and paint. Nature. I Love to paint nature and share the feeling of peace that has been part of my journey. I live in Pittsburgh, but the Ocean, and everything like the sand, the sea shore are part of me. It is easy to believe that we are part of the waves and we are also part of the Ocean. Very Nice book but smaller than expected The photos were beautiful and the verses were a good match to the pictures. Wonderful birthday gift for a sea glass lover.

A Truly Gorgeous Book!This little book is really eye candy! It is so visually beautiful that with every turn of every page you can almost hear the ocean waves rolling in. I do love sea glass and I do love reading beautiful quotes, so this little book of treasures has it all. I particularly love the first line of the inside cover which says......Of Love & Sea Glass is an appreciation of the search for quiet beauty.....how delightful is that! The photography is truly delicious....you just want to rush back to the beach to comb the shoreline and some of the quotes and sayings are very thought-provoking and delightful. You cant't help but enjoy immensely, this wonderful book!

This is a lovely book with beautiful pics of beach treasures and lovely quotes. The one thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars, is that I bought 3 copies for gifts. Someone-don't know who, but I'm the one who is dealing with it-put a price/scanner sticker on the back of each book. It does not come off without steam/scraping and then once off leaves a sticky residue. This, in my mind, is a lame way to give a gift. So I am very unhappy that the books came in this state.

Beautiful little book! I gave this to my daughters future mother-in-law as a hostess gift when we went to dinner at the in-laws. She LOVED it!!She told me that she now knows who to call when she needs to get someone a hostess gift! 😊

My best friend and I recently returned from a trip to Maine where we spent countless hours collecting heart shaped stones and sea glass on the beaches. I ordered this book thinking it would make a great Christmas gift for her. I was in tears as I read some of the inspirational quotes and the photographs accompanying them were perfect. Can't wait to see her unwrap this gift. I couldn't be more pleased.

I purchased this book really on a whim...I met Donald on Christmas Day as he was one of my customers at LL Bean. He had a beautiful personality and a kind manner and as he was departing he recommended this book (I did not know he was the author/photographer) the book and photos are as brilliant and as beautiful as this gentleman's personality. This is an adorable little book. It's small. The book jacket is very well made. The quotes inside are very nice. However, any printed words withing the book have the lower portion of the characters cut off. For example, the word 'happiness' will have the lower parts of the 'p's' cut off' the bottom. Same with "y" 'g'" and the like. I was surprised that whomever put this book together did n't notice this before it went to print.
