Just the right amount of blocking out the sun and letting the sun shine through for me! I wasn’t looking for black out curtains though. Wrinkle free…. Not so much! I tried the simple throw them into the dryer to get the wrinkles out and the dryer, curtains and entire house laughed at me for that one.

These curtains are made very well! The quality of the material is great, the trim around the curtain is sown well, and it adds a wonderful touch to our off white walls. The only thing you need to be careful with is to open the package outdoors because it does have a good amount of lint and maybe shake them before putting them up. I also steamed all the curtains once I had them up! I found the curtain ties here on Amazon also (not included with curtains). Great price!

These drapes received some poor reviews and I almost did not buy them. However, they are very well made, and go well with a room that needs a plainer type of drape. Some reviews said they look like drop clothes, and were more yellow than beige. While it is true that the material is thick, it works well to provide some protection from bright sunlight, (which is ruining my floor) In addition, the "yellow" is due to the angle of the sun at certain times of day, when all light colored drapes looks this way. Although they are not sheer or fancy, they look nice, only need a little ironing, and are very sturdy.

These looked much whiter in the picture. They are beige with yellowish undertones. They aren't sheer at all. Even in direct sunlight you can't see anything through them so keep in mind when it says semi black out, they mean semi black out. They feel exactly like a painter's drop cloth, which I have a few of in my garage. Maybe a little bit softer than that, but that's really what they look like. The trim around the edge is very cute and I'm going to keep them because I don't have the energy to return them. I wish they were as light colored as they look in the pictures.

I purchased 4 panels for our master bedroom window. Combined with blinds the curtains do a surprisingly good job at blocking out light. Now they do not block out all sunlight and you can definitely tell when the sun starts to come up but the curtains do a great job at making the sunrise a slow and steady wake up call. If you desire valences, get the table cloth in this same collection, cut it in half, sew it, and you have perfect matching valences!
