Assault and Buttercream (Lexy Baker Cozy Mystery Series) Paperback – January 21, 2022

The characters in this series have been so enjoyable from the very beginning. This one was so good. Not only was there a murder but a jewelry heist as well. Can't wait to see what adventures are next.

I bought this for my mom who at 92 still loves mysteries and cozy mysteries. She’s reading it for the second time.

Once again, Lexy Baker and her grandmother's friends, Ruth, Ida and Helen are hoping once again to held Detective Jack Perillo, Lexy's husband solve the latest crime. A couple of stories within the book of the recent jewerly robbery, a dog contest and just the humor of them all working together.

Love the old ladies and their crime solving abilities. The dogs were also fun to get to know. The who done it didn’t become apparent till close to the end. Good insight into harmful herbs.

It was good, less compelling than the other Lexy Baker books . Just seemed like it was written in a hurry. I'll still read the next one. All the other In the series were great and I hope the next will be the same. I'd recommend for a good, easy, entertaining cozy mystery.

I have enjoyed every one of the Lexy Baker books and this one was once again a must read! The ladies are once again on the trail of a killer and dognapper! Lots of pastries are involved thanks to Lexy. If you like a well written cozy mystery, you are sure to love any of the books written by Lee Dobbs.

Lexy, her grandma and all the friends at the retirement center are always so entertaining in the way they manage to manipulate Lexy and Jack into "helping" with their investigations, as well as constantly supplying free baked goods. This time they solve a missing dog, missing diamonds and a murder with their usual comedy. Fun read.

Things get boring for Nans and the detective club. Then there is a murder and the Ladies are happy. Lexi works at baking for the dog show while trying to keep things from getting out of control. Loved it!
