Definitely American made qualityI don't know why other people say this is flimsy and not firm… if you want firmer sheets, you need to buy thicker stock? These are cut with extreme precision. The thickness is within a thousandth of an inch. I've bought tons of these chipboard over the years and this product is as good as it gets. Buy the Chinese made ones and you will see how inaccurate the cuts can be.

The packaging doesn't completely cover the chipboard, so the tops and bottoms of them were exposed. The sheets were falling out of the plastic wrap on arrival. Since the product wasn't completely protected, it seems like the sheets were exposed to moisture or something, because they SMELL. Like a mix of musty and cheesy. I was planning on using these as packing for an art print, but just having this stack in my small studio has made it reek, and I would hate for my customer to open their package and be hit with this smell. The chipboard itself is nice! Just the right amount of sturdy, not too thick. But the packaging and/or storage of the product needs to be improved. I'm going to try leaving them out in the sun for a few days and see if that helps.

Used for backing artwork

I just opened my package of these I ordered in March to start using them & they have a strong chemical odor that very off-putting. I was going to use these my card orders, to prevent bending in the mail, but I do not want the odor to transfer to my items while in the envelope. May be a great item for other uses, as indicated in the comments.

These might have some use for arts and crafts or something, but they are flimsy and would not protect photos in the mail, which is what I bought them for.
