THE footswitch you need for your Fender Champion 40!!
Ordered this footswitch for my Fender Champion 40 amp, and believe me this is THE model you need for your Champion to function correctly. Other footswitches may or may not work properly with this amp, but this one seems to be made for it. Too bad it wasn't included with the amp, and I think that may be just a price point thing because the amp was indeed very affordable. Anyhow, it allows you to switch between channels with the first button and turn the effects on / off with the second button. Quiet switching, and I like the bright LED's which tell you in a flash which one is engaged, an unexpectedly convenient feature that I can't believe other brands don't utilize. Unlike other reviewers, mine did indeed come with a cord, lightweight but fully functional and will serve my uses OK for a while. The unit itself is metal, heavy-weight and made well, so I expect it to last for years. The only down side to this switch (if you can call it that) the bottom rails lack any rubber feet, which may make it prone to scooting over a slick floor, so I glued some small strips of rubber on it and now it's good to go. The Champion 40 is a great little amp, and now with this footswitch it is a lot easier to use. I HIGHLY recommend this switch if you have the Champion 40, and it will help bring out it's full potential in a live performance setting for sure. GET ONE!

Wish it came with amp
Works perfect with Champion xL 50 .It is the perfect addition to my board ,leave it off for a clean channel and click it once for the first channel and click the effects button for that dirty channel with effects. It was like 20 bucks and works great. You just turn on your desired effects and it clicks them on when you want them ,too simple. Don’t know why I hesitated buying one I think I just didn’t understand what it would do . You dont even need a pedal board with this the xl50 has so many choices already ! Now I just need to learn how to play my guitars !!! Overall this thing is great !

Great Fender two button.
It is what it is and works as it should. Seems to be very well made.

May need to re-solder all the connections inside...
Well built, but poorly soldered circuit. The switch worked okay the first time I used it, but went bezerk on the second gig. I checked out the circuitry and everything LOOKED okay. I reworked all the solder joints and the switch has worked great ever since...

It's Fender. It's Good.
I bought a Fender FM65 DSP Amp locally for cheap - but it came without a foot switch. Enter Amazon, and the OEM Fender foot switch designed to fit the amp - at a good price. The switch functions perfectly, and I am pleased with my purchase. I've noticed most of these used amps are missing the foot switch. If your tempted to buy an amp at a good price without a foot switch, a new, factory issue one is available at Amazon.

Switch for Fender Champion XL 50
I used this switch for our Fender Champion XL 50 amp and so far it's working perfectly. Has a clear channel option, distortion channel option and you can click on effects with either channel. Just set the amp effects where you want them and you can toggle it on or off. I use other effects pedals while on the clear channel such as the EVH 5150 Overdrive. This footswitch is a must have for an XL 50 amp in my opinion, you can't beat this price either. Get one!

Works fine It did come with the cable.
I am using this with my Fender Champ 50xl amplifier as it allows me to turn on and off the effects with one tap, rather than turning the knob. It looks just like the one I had on an amplifier I purchased in the late 80s and seems very sturdy and should last as long as the amp.It did come with a cable. An observation is that the effects indicator on the amp does not change when switched off through the pedal. The lights on the pedal work fine. This is ok but may confuse anyone expecting the lights on the amp to change.

Great add on feature.
This is a great addition to my sons Fender Champion 40 amp. It makes it easier to switch between the clean and overdrive channel and added the effects setting dialed in on the amp. With other pedals it makes for a good entry set up. Started out with the champion 20 and the champion 40 is a huge upgrade and is worth the extra money at the beginning.
