Interesting
This second book in the apex predator series picks up with the same characters from behemoth, but several months in the future. I still enjoyed the crazy storyline, but quickly became tired of the irritating, selfish writer Brian Tolland. He didn't add to the story and I wanted to shoot him myself! His constant whining was so annoying and so was Caplan's insistence on keeping him in the group. In spite of that, I recommend this book.

Buy From This Company!
The book was listed as "may have some shelf-wear due to normal use." This book arrived in what I can only describe as "BRAND NEW CONDITION ". I see no wear, no folded pages, no markings, nothing what so ever. I will buy from this company in the future! "Used" books are the way to go especially when they are in pristine condition from Seattle Goodwill Industries! Thank you!

A DM. SYFY. Novel (APB. - 2) The Continuation
DM. has. penned the second novel of two about the transfer of humanity from everyday concerns to one of prehistoric times which is a life of survival of the fittest. SAM's second novel take the survivors of the HA-78 virus on a long distant trip into the past when survival was their most important product. The few survivors are constantly on the search for survival food to remain alive as the virus even attacked the animals across the planet. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Brilliant…going to be a great movie!
Brilliantly written…David Meyer creates a dark, dystopian world where mankind is gasping for its last breath against a villainous team of evil scientists, a host of gigantic prehistoric monsters, and an army of genetically-engineered steroid-enhanced neanderthals.Searching for his ex-girlfriend Amanda, Zach Caplan is our last hope and in the same vein as Indiana Jones, he continues to jump from the frying pan into the fire…only to use his wits to eke out another chance to maintain his quest. The action is non-stop in this epic feat of imagination and the twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat.Meyer has an uncanny ability to describe scenes and make you feel you're watching a movie unfold. This book is an adventure story, but it’s also a commentary on the pitfalls of men who try to control nature. I liked Behemoth, but I love Savage! Can’t wait for the next installment of the Apex Predator series!

Not great. I hope the author can recover his vision for this story.
This book was a minor disappointment after reading the first book. The story lost me with the giant predators. I would have been better with smarter or otherwise enhanced predators but the giants were somewhat silly. I hope the author can recover and bring this story back.

What a great book. It deals with the possible end of man, forests and all creatures.....except those created by a scientific mastermind. There are several leading characters and they are really good at their fight as representatives of good and evil. The explanation of the new world creatures could have been a tad..just a tad...better. Like how did the mastermind decide on what creatures to create.I recommend the two Apex Predator books. I have given them pretty much all my spare time to reading them...yes even at the barbershop. I had to see how the lead good guyZach got he and his friends through the next deadly part of their adventure.

I was pleased to learn that Savage was just released
I have been awaiting Book 2 in the Apex Predator Series since reading Behemoth. I was pleased to learn that Savage was just released, and immediately downloaded it onto my kindle. I couldn't wait to begin reading, and it didn't disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Savage is a compelling book. The character development is good, and the plot really draws the reader in. I felt like I was actually in the Vallerio Forest of NH, the North Maine Woods, and walking/running for my life through the streets of Boston, along with Zach Caplan, Bailey Mills, and Brian Toland (who at times provided a bit of comic relief). An excellent book! I highly recommend this series.

Behemoth sized dissapointment
Extremely predictable and boring. I was really looking forward to this second installment of the series as I really liked the first one. The characters are very cheesey and hollow. Even the personality of the main character seems to have changed a lot. Now he's Mr. typical one liner. The sense of horror, being on edge, being unpredictable and original as the first installment are all completely gone. Will have to skip future releases of this series.

I have been waiting for this book as I enjoyed the first book very much
I have been waiting for this book as I enjoyed the first book very much. It was slow to get started in my opinion and I almost gave up. Also, it felt as if there was a gap between the events at the end of the first book and the beginning of this one. This is explained at the end, at least on the kindle edition. There is a chapter that bridges the two books that you can download. However, persevere. It does get better and is well worth reading. I look forward to book three
