excellent product, beautiful results
i absolutely love these molds and am so happy that i chose these over the grid style cobblestone molds. i have done 3 sets so far, and once you get a handful of them done you can start to create free form pathways anyway you want. i just installed a brick patio and am making my first path from the backdoor to the fire pit (shown in photo). the molds are excellent quality and are still in perfect condition after 3 pours. one 60lb bag of concrete is enough to fill all 6 molds. TIPS - do not make your concrete too wet or the integrity of the stone wont be as stong, and will potentially crack when stepped on -once the cement is poured, shake, shimmy, gently lift and "drop" (small taps) repeatedly to get air bubbles out. do this for way longer than you think you need to. -place a flattened cardboard box over the mold while you tap it on the ground to avoid huge amounts of splatter. - i use standard concrete and let it dry in the mold for a minimum of 24 hours, then carefully de-mold and avoid walking on new stones for at least 2-3 days - concrete will build up on the edges of the mold and ruin the look of the sides of your stones if you do not clean between uses. i find that cleaning the molds immediately after removing dried stones is easiest. i use my hose and a stiff plastic bristle scrub brush. -demolding earlier than 24 hrs can cause chips as you remove the stone -take your time demolding, being aggressive can cause cracks or chips -no mold release needed I AM THRILLED WITH THIS PURCHASE, NO REGRETS!!

Quality concrete molds
These work well! Quality plastic molds. Just completed the 22nd pour and the molds are still in great condition. I wipe a very light coat of WD40 inside each mold before each concrete pour. I find a 60lb bag of concrete works well to fill each of these about 1/8” from the top. I have been adding varying amounts of black concrete dye (iron oxide), to give different concrete coloring. I tap and shake each full mold for about 60 sec to remove most of the air bubbles in the concrete, and am able to remove the hardened concrete after about 18 hours. Using an old dresser as a curing rack. Pouring one bag of concrete per day, I bring the nearly cured stones outside after a few days. I may buy a second set, to speed up the process, but otherwise this has been a great purchase.

Great buy!
These things are awesome! I made ~25 stones and they are still in great shape. I used baby oil for the release agent. One I have is to clean the cured cement left behind right away after dropping the stones and you will have a much easier time than if you wait for when you need to pour again. Also, I used a piece of scrap wood to scrape the cement and did not scratch the molds.

Surprised
At first I didn’t think they’d hold up (I.e., break when attempting to release), but I’m happy to say the mold release was pretty easy and there was no damage to the mold. You may see that these are ugly. You are right. I attempted to play with colors, but it didn’t turn out like I imagined. But there’s potential there with the right technique. The bubbles are another thing. I didn’t put enough water in the concrete, so it looks more cratered than the moon. All of this is my own fault, I tell you all so you can learn from me. The molds are good, the detail doesn’t come out like I’d hope and the edges don’t look like natural stone. In all, it’s with having something to play around with, and save a couple bucks in the mean time. Just don’t expect it to look like something out of Pinterest.

Great way to make paving stones.
I have made over 100 stones with this kit and they still work like new. I like the appearance very much. They have worked perfectly for me.

Pavers - it’s a lot of work….
I bought both AUTUMN and BETONEX - 1 set of each (basically the same thing - I will post on BOTH). 14 foot in diameter (slightly bigger - not a math guy/first patio project ever). If we are including the paver restraints (Amazon), the red bricks that surround the patio (Lowe’s), concrete bags (Lowe’s - made over 200 pieces), trowel (harbor freight or Lowe’s), concrete mixing tub (Lowe’s), concrete coloring (Lowe’s), angle grinder from Walmart (hyper tough I believe), masonry blade pack (DeWalt brand off Amazon), 21AA base grade gravel and masonry sand for leveling (landscaping supply yard), polymeric sand (lowes), string (lowes), string levels (amazon), hand tamper (harbor freight), kick push sod remover (old school - rented from rental place - that was brutal by the way), stakes for the strings to run my string lines (already had those), measuring tape (already had that), shovels and muscles (already had that), and patience (learned a lot about that) - project cost me in increments about a grand (slowly) and time away from social life through the summer. Started making pavers in April - June. In may I removed the grass and dug down (that was horrible) and I mixed my own concrete by hand. No fancy equipment. Everything by hand. Including hand tamping the gravel. I am working on the outskirts of the patio and will post updated photos later this fall or next spring.

Sturdy
Sturdy molds. Used several times in a weekend and they still look brand new after washing them. Made approximately 50 stones and love the way they turned out! They helped fill in a new, rather large garden. I’m sure we will move them around once the perennials get established. Bought two sets so we could produce a large number quickly. Used quick setting concrete and was able to turn them out in four hours. As others suggested we used cooking spray in the molds and had no issues. Be sure to tap them to release and air pockets so the surface is free of air pockets on the finished surface. I would absolutely buy them again!

Awesome quality...
I have used other molds before for single stepping stones and these are very well constructured. Since I purchased them I have made over 24 batches each constructing of 6 peices each. They are still going strong without any wear or tear.. Super happy with my purchase and couldn't say enough good things about them.
