Great Product
A group of us went together and bought the sound amplifier for one of our friends. She had just a bit of hearing loss before a medical “professional” prescribed a medication for a bladder infection. This medication left her profoundly deaf in one ear and with a significant hearing loss in the other ear. She was always the life of the party; but had become very withdrawn since she couldn’t hear.Once the amplifier arrived, I went to my friend's house to help her set up her new audio device. The set up went well. It is quite effective since she has profound hearing loss, especially in one ear. Her hearing aids (quite expensive) are rather ineffective in enabling her to hear, even one on one. When she first put on the amplifier, she could hear! I moved further away from her and she could still hear.A couple of suggestions: the fact that the unit needs to be charged should be displayed in a prominent place. We were both disappointed that we needed to submit the unit to a rather lengthy (our choice on that) charging and couldn’t set up the amplifier system until the following day.You might consider marking each of the connecting cords, too. The graphics in the pamphlet are fine, but usually these will be older folks setting up the device and if the cords are clearly marked, it will help. I marked my friend's cords (especially the charger which she'll need often.) The TV connections were pretty simple; however, they, too, could be done more graphically.A bit of background: I am a retired preschool teacher - retired in 2012. In the early 2000's a child was placed in my classroom. He had a profound hearing loss and had just been given a sound amplifier similar to your product. This child was 4-years-old. The unit was rather large and bulky, but he was so happy to hear. The unit clipped to his belt. Because of the size, it inhibited his movement somewhat.I was never able to follow up what happened with this child. His parents enrolled him in a special school after a few days. But when our friend suffered her hearing loss, I was reminded of this little boy, went on line to see what developments had occurred since I had taught him. I was delighted to find your product.

System works but some tricks to make it. Work right
First according to the audiologist my left ear is gone ad the right is bad. I got the complete system. Set up for the earphones amplifier is simple and it works. I had no problem linking the cellphone following instructions. I could not get the TV amp to work initially. Part of the problem was my TV settings and connections which I finally figured out, the TV would not send sound out to two sources. When you want to listen to the TV you have to give the blue button a short tap, if you give it a long tap it goes to pairing mode and you have to shut down and restart. When you tap it kicks you to a new volume routine and the blue button pulses slowly. Volume is at zero so you have to adjust. This thing really cleans up audio for me. Speech is much clearer. I could always hear but everything was muzzy an I could not make out words and now I can. Bulky and not pretty but now I can sit at the table and really have a conversation switch family. I spent thousands on hearing aids and they do not work this well.

It helps some.
Its not the best looking thing to wear but it does help hearing the TV or someone talking to you. The TV listening systems works ok but it has its problems. If you turn TV off then you have to reset everything when you resume watching TV. I haven't given up on it yet but will work with it some more. For the price not bad. I have tried 5 different OTC hearing aids and this is the only one I haven't returned. But I do not thinks the Maxipro is the only hearing device I need. The Maxipro is good stationary but really not convenient on the move.
