Good value
For the price I thought these cutters would be rubbish. They aren’t they work well. I have only used 3 of them but one the 6mm straight cutter extensively (for a DIYer!) I find it to be just as sharp a it was on the first cut. I only take off half the dia. of the bit on each pass so 3mm each time, it coped easily,on the one occasion I forgot and took 9mm out in one go it also coped without damage to the timber or bit. I am pleased with these and would buy again

Mostly OK but one bearing size is incorrect
The 45 degree chamfer bit is fitted with a ~9 m (3/8 inch) diameter bearing which is not big enough to hold the cutter off the workpiece. This means it will always (always!) leave a step as shown in the attached photo. I measured the step to be about 1.5 mm deep so the dia of the bearing needs to be at least 3 mm greater. Hence I took the 12.7 mm (i.e. 1/2 inch) bearing off another bit and this works fine. So, what the supplier needs to do is put a 1/2 inch bearing on the 45 degree chamfer bit, and also check that the others are correct. Meantime I bought a slightly different set from Silverline which has exactly the same problem! Presumably they all come from the same factory - all the fittings, sizes and box are the same. Since no self-respecting carpenter would buy this sort of tool I guess few people have spotted the problem. At this point I spoke to a proper craftsperson and they agreed with the problem and the solution. They also told me to get some decent bits!

A good way to get started if you just bought a router.
These are not top quality bits but they are OK and they will get you started. There are many ways to use a router and it is usually impossible to predict all of the uses you will put it to when you first get one. With that in mind a cheap set of bits like this is a good buy as it is varied and capable, allowing you to explore the things you can do with your own router. Two of these bits I wore out pretty quickly, but I replaced them with bits that each cost more than this entire set. The remainder of the bits in the set have mostly been used once or twice. That's what I expected to happen and because this is a cheap set I don't consider it a waste — I bought this set to help me learn and they worked very well for that and allowed me to make some fine things out of wood as I learned.Recommended if you're new to using a router — once you find out which ones you actually use you can buy better quality.

Waste of time and money
Don't waste your money on these router bits as the straight one struggled and the round over bit fell apart while in operation and ruined my jobSo they're all in the bin, it's maddening that the return date has passed before using theseJUST DON'T BUY THESE ROUTER BITS

Nice bits, shame about the case.
Firstly, as others have commented, the wooden case supplied is very flimsy to the point that it arrived in pieces (see photo) Normally I would have returned it for a replacement but I'd ordered an alternative set from a different supplier which, despite being ordered on the Thursday still hadn't been dispatched the following Monday (Prime) As I was keen to get on with my project I elected to keep this set and managed to repair the box using copious amounts of glue. Now, about the bits. I only used three of the bits and they did the job admirably on a piece of pine. Obviously I can't comment on how they'll perform with continued use but if you want a set for the odd project I would say at the price these are an excellent buy. Probably worth 5 stars but lose a star for the woeful quality of the case.

Wear eye protection
A good selection of bits, ideal for getting started. I didn't know which bits I'd end up using more so got this set, which will allow me to experiment and later upgrade/replace as needed.First impressions weren't great as the paint blistered and peeled off the first one I tried - the chamfer bit, on some scrap 18mm ply. I've adapted by taking multiple shallower passes, and the other bits haven't suffered the same fate. One word of warning and a reminder to always wear eye protection was that the bearing on the flush trim bit disintegrated while trimming a 5mm overhang of 3mm hardboard, sending shards of sharp metal flying, fortunately only embedding them in my garage wall!

Gives a nice profile
Okay ... they are good value ... and like me, wonder if they will be any good? And the money ... worth a punt?Well I've done some DIY jobs now and found them to be very good!Cut well, no disasters ... gives a good finish.Do I think they will last forever ... probably not. But certainly good enough for most jobs around the house.Relax a little more ..and buy.

Value for money but don't expect too much
Unfortunately the wooden box arrived with broken bits. Could do with a sturdier box to house the bits. Started using the morticing and straight bits. The cuts are generally ok but dont expect super clean cuts. But for the price I paid, an absolute value. I took away 1 star due to the poor quality case (mine broke)
