Rugged with a nice feel
This is probably my 100th cell phone case and it is the most rugged and durable case I have ever owned. I accidentally dropped my phone from second floor, phone is fine and case took all damage and it is still 100% usable. It also feels nice to touch. The kickstand is a little flimsy but it doesn't look like it'll ever break. The case is a little thick and prevents some charging cables from making full contact, but these are compromises I am willing to make for such a rugged case.

Good protection case!
I've previously bought other spiegen cases but this one has been my favorite. I was looking for a case that was slim, offered good protection, and had a stand. I've managed to drop my phone a few times and it has managed to protect my phone so far.The case is a case is a mix of a flexible tpu material and a hard shell. It's also fairly easy to put on once you get 2 corners of the phone in. The fit is snug and has raised edges around the screen and back camera area, so if it lands flat is should have protection. The buttons are all easy to press as well. As far as the grip, it's smooth enough to slip into a pocket but not terribly slippery where it will slide out of your hand.My one complaint would be that the stand is a bit flimsy. It's usefull for vertical viewing but not horizontal. Otherwise, in all others aspect it has delivered. I would recommend this case if you're looking for a slim case with good protection.

Works great and is my ideal "slim" case that provides amazing protection.
Before I start my review, let me say that the other people who says the top right part of the case is loose didn't take their time to learn how to put on the case properly. I read so many of those and it almost made me pass on this wonderful case. I'm glad I didn't. To properly put on the case, make sure the "loose" top right part of the case is connected with the rest of the TPU shell BEFORE you put the case on your phone. Let me reiterate the BEFORE part again. If that part is flopping out and you didn't press the two together, the case will still be loose if you put your phone in after no matter how many times you try to connect it.With that rant out of the way, I've been 100% satisfied with my case. I've only tried two cases in my life for my other phones so far and those were the bulky OtterBox phone cases and the stylish/slim Caseology case that still does a decent job protecting the device. This specific Tough Armor case from Spigen is the perfect in between or hybrid of the two. The Tough Armor case is significantly slimmer/thinner than the OtterBox cases and only slightly thicker than most slim cases out there. I think it adds like half an inch onto the device (think iPhone 4/4S thickness from back in the day) but it protects you from everything. There are foam inserts inside the device, durable TPU, and raised edges around any part that could hit the ground first. Compared to the official Samsung cases, there is a noticeable difference on how it protects the camera array.Other things I would like to mention is that the part of the case that covers the buttons are tactile, the screen on/screen off button has some texture on it, and the kickstand works well. Overall I would highly recommend this case.

A good case with a few minor issues
This is my first time buying a Spigen case. I have always bought Seidio cases before, but that company went out of business two years ago, so I was in the market for a different vendor. I ended up choosing Spigen on reputation and selected their Tough Armor case, as I needed a case with a kickstand and Spigen only had two cases with kickstands built into them, and I liked the Tough Armor better than the alternative. Otherwise, this case is an overkill for me, as I do not need this much protection, because I take good care of my phones. This case is well made. It is a two-layer case with an inner layer made of flexible TPU material and an outer layer of hard polycarbonate shell. Unfortunately, in order to get the case on your phone properly, you first need to assemble both layers together, making sure all the sides are properly assembled, especially, the side right next to the camera, and then try to shove your phone into the case. It is very hard to do it this way and I was sure I would end up either damaging the phone or my screen protector, but it worked, and no harm was done to the phone or the screen protector. If you do not do it this way, and try to put the flexible layer on first and then the outer shell, you will find that the outer shell never assembles correctly, and it will not sit right, especially, the section near the camera. Other reviewers have posted pictures about this issue and Spigen needs to address it in the future. The case has raised edges around your screen so if you put your phone face down, the screen does not touch the surface. I wish Spigen had the raised edges only on the top and the bottom, but left the sides flush with the phone. This would still have protected the screen, but also made it easier to swipe from the edges, like the edge panels and other edge swipes. The back camera cutout is also raised so your camera lenses do not touch the surface if you place the phone on its back. The case is balanced on all sides so it does not wobble whether set face up or down.It is a shock absorbing case, and I can tell it is doing a good job, as this case dampens the vibrations of the already very weak vibrator motor installed in Galaxy S22, to the point that I can barely feel the vibration even on its max settings. This is good in that the case will absorb the shock if you drop your phone from a height and protect your phone, but bad if you put your phone on vibrate a lot.The case has cutouts to access all the ports and mics. The volume and power buttons are easy to press and the power button has groves on it to differentiate it from the volume buttons. It works, but I wish that there was a physical separation between the buttons, as is the case with some of the other cases made by Spigen for the S22. Right now, I end up mixing the power and volume buttons multiple times a day. Hopefully this will change with time. There is no cutout for the main earphone but the case is raised slightly above the earphone to let the sound through. This approach works and you can hear the other side clearly during phone calls, but it does add a little bass to the voices. It is the same effect as you get if you cover the bottom speaker with your finger while the speakerphone is on, the sound slightly changes. I wish Spigen had left the earpiece completely uncovered, as I can tell the difference when listening to music when the phone is set to speakerphone, the earpiece speaker has a slightly higher bass then the bottom speaker. But it is not a dealbreaker and I can live with it.The kickstand on this case is very flimsy. It does its job, but if you use this feature a lot, I would choose another case with a sturdier kickstand. I use the kickstand occasionally, so it is perfect for my needs, but I hope Spigen improves upon it and offers a sturdier kickstand that can support the phone both horizontally and vertically. Right now, you can only set the phone horizontally. The case is easy to grip and slippery enough that it is easy to slip it in and out of the pocket. I however, use a belt holster with this case. Spigen unfortunately does not make a belt holster, but luckily, the Encased brand offers an excellent belt holster designed especially for this case. I use this case with a regular screen protector (not a tempered glass protector) and it works fine with it. I do not use wireless charging, so cannot say anything about that.I cannot say anything about durability either, as I have only had it for four months, but hopefully the case will be durable and last a long time. I do have some minor scratches on the top and bottom strip at the back of the phone, but nothing serious. I will update this review if something happens. Taking into account the cost to benefits, I would gladly recommend this case to anyone looking for a great case to protect their Samsung Galaxy S22.
