Great 2 Player Game - Easy Enough to Learn
This game is really neat. We don't play a ton of games. So, it took some time to digest the rules. To learn, I'd recommend playing a practice game with your hands face-up. Once you understand the rules, it's a nice little game. It's as replayable as any other card game out there.Minor nuisances: There is no point to the dwarf cards or the dwarf stand-ups. The colors they used in printing were just a little difficult to make out sometimes. (Compared to the original Saboteur game) None of these warrant losing a star.

Great modification of the game
I love the Saboteur card game, and this has made it possible to just play with my wife. If you love the game and want to be able to play two players its a must have.

A decent game for the price
Having not played any of the other games in the “Saboteur” line, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the title. It was on sale and I’ve done stupider gambles with $10, so I figured I’d give it a shot. It’s not a game I would have necessarily bought had I first played it in a demo, but if I had kids I wanted to entertain or kept a quick-play library for visitors, it’s one that could be a frequently used addition. Each player controls a dwarf mining for gold (I haven’t played solo mode yet), trying to gather more than the other player. There are three rounds, though you could probably play just one for a quick 10 minute game. How much you and your opponent work together and how much you intentionally roadblock them is what makes for the fun.A deck of goals is dealt face down in a specific pattern, 6 per round. Each dwarf has a starting location near the other and equi-distant from the goals. Players draw from a common deck of tunnel cards and must place them in such a way that a current tunnel they can access is extended. Some of these will include gold as well as the goal cards, some will have obstructions that affect everyone, and some will only affect your opponent (like green doors that allow the green dwarf to use a tunnel but prevent the blue dwarf unless (s)he finds a key to unlock it.Aside from doors, dead-ends, and trolls that steal gold, players will also have action cards that include symbols, such as a pickaxe, lantern, or map. While some are beneficial to you, like keys that unlock doors or maps that reveal goal cards, others are deliberate sabotage of your opponent. If the symbol has a red circle and line through it, it is a blocker and your opponent cannot play any new tunnel sections until it’s resolved. “Oh, no! You could have gotten the last card to access that goal if your stupid cart hadn’t broken. Tough luck! You don’t mind if I mine there, do you?...” Such blocks can be removed by playing a card of the same symbol with no red line or by discarding two cards, but since you only draw one at the end of your turn this can put you at a disadvantage quite easily.Play is quick to learn and games become faster as you become more practiced, but it’s not something you would consider a deep thinker for strategy since so much is based on the luck of the draw. No dice are involved so that saves it from being entirely random, but there will still be times your turn consists of nothing more than discarding and drawing new cards in the hope you’ll actually be able to do something on your next turn. You could do worse than to add this to your game collection, but you won’t miss it if you don’t.

Makes Saboteur fun for 2 people
If you've played the original Saboteur and Saboteur 2, this game will be very familiar; however, the rules are different and geared towards 1 vs 1 play. There's some interesting rules and additions to the game that make this a really fun game with 2 people.
