Robust & minimalist, recommended
I simply love it, the phone is simple, robust, elegant, easy to use and fulfil all basic needs which is why I got it. The audio quality is very good, the phone and all its functionalities such as the notes, calculator and Bluetooth works as expected. Can’t wait to use it more and do some detox time away from the smartphones.

Could have been good
This promised so much that I wanted as a private, minimalist phone. It looks good and is lovely and small and has an excellent display. However there are few things that mean I would not buy it again. First is the battery life. I rarely get a full day's use out of it despite being a very light user: two or three phone calls a day, a couple of dozen text message and none, or very little use of the WiFi tethering. I find the buttons can be unpredictable in some situations, particularly when unlocking it; I get missed clicks and double clicks far more often than on previous phones with real buttons. The Pigeon app for Signal is a disaster. I have twice had to do complete wipes, resets and reinstalls because it lost access to my account for no apparent reason.I would have liked to like this phone and initially thought a few interface tweaks would make it great (better display of notifications when locked for example). However the longer I have used it (six months now) the more frustrated I have become and would not recommend it in its current state. I am only hanging on to mine in a desperate attempt to get some value for the high cost of purchase.

Just get a Nokia
I tried hard to like this. I even bought it twice. But there's no getting around the fact that this is a £20 phone with an almost £300 price tag. It's pretty and small. The battery life is not great, sometimes it will last less than a day. Software quality is poor, Pigeon is hit or miss. It does so little, and it doesn't do it well. For a £20 phone, you might as well pay £20 and get yourself a Nokia.Update: the hardware also has issues. The buttons start to fail. On my wife's, it makes a static noise every time any sound is played (ie. Notifications, calls) since day one. Support takes forever to sort it out.

Amazing if you want and need a lifestyle change
I ordered this phone and ended up sending it back at first. I kept making excuses about what it can’t do and why I "need" x, y, and z. I went back to an Android smartphone, removed all the distracting apps, and tried to stay focused. But the thing is, those distractions are just a tap away when you’re feeling anxious or lonely. It’s easy to undo all the app blockers and settings in a moment of weakness, and before long, I was back to scrolling endlessly, customizing the phone, and spending most of my time trying to create the “perfect” distraction-free device. That’s when I realized I was missing the whole point of the Punkt. If you’re not ready for change, you’ll find every reason to dislike this phone. But its strength is in its simplicity; it does all the basics right. Anything extra can be done on a desktop computer. If you need Maps/Directions, get a standalone GPS device. If you need a voice recorder, get a standalone one or use the Pigeon/Signal app on this phone to send voice notes to yourself. If you need a music player, get one separately, or again, use the Pigeon app to send yourself music files. Or you can go back to a smartphone and get distracted all over again (if that’s been your experience). The Punkt MP02A, also known as the MP02 New Generation, is a solid phone without the noise and addictive pull of big-screen smartphones and their endless apps. If you decide to get this phone, just know you might need to adjust how you do things and be open to making some compromises. But if you’re someone who has already made the switch to a dumbphone, or are an existing dumbphone/voice phone user and you’re simply looking for a high-quality, beautifully designed one with 4G support and Wi-Fi hotspot functions, this is a fantastic option too.For me, I got to the point where I was just exhausted by how much time smartphones were taking from my life. It felt like carrying around a cigar in my pocket while telling myself I wanted to quit but not really addressing the issue. Goodbye Android OS and iOS, hello real world. Thanks for reading my review. This was from the heart, and I hope it helps anyone reading. Praying and hoping for nothing but the best for you on this journey ❤️

Fantastic!!
I'm so over the moon with this phone from Punkt! I'd read a lot about it online after a friend mentioned it to me, but I was keen to see if it really stacked up in real life. It arrived today and I'm so impressed with the quality and design of it. Firstly, it looks beautiful, the minimalist, paired-down design is exactly why I wanted one in the first place and it doesn't disappoint - it has that mid-Century classic feel to it. The materials are first-class, great texture but also feels very durable but has that lightweight feel. It powered up right out of the box which is nice - I managed to set it up very quickly.Aside from the way it looks, I wanted a phone that would allow me to take a break from the many other distractions of my 'smart' phone. This product strips away all the unnecessary stuff to the few simple functions you need, perfect for achieving an enjoyable level of 'digital balance'. I will likely use it as a companion to my smartphone but I can also see how it would be just as able to be a standalone device.

Dissapointing
Don’t buy. Terrible operating system, poor battery life, dim screen, spongy buttons, unintuitive and expensive to boot. I wasted my money on this and should have bought a nokia.

Poor user interface and functions
User interface is very poor, WiFi connection temperamental, pigeon is not the same as signal and doesn't allow to use contacts already established on smartphone, does not tether when connected to WiFi.For the extra money for access to WiFi and Signal, neither work. Great idea and feel hardware looks good but better off with a Nokia/HMD with no WiFi at a fifth of the price. For the extra money to use WiFi and signal, neither function.
