John Innes Seed Sowing Compost Soil Bag In 35 Litres - Nutrient Balanced Seed Compost Mix for Potting, Growing Garden, Outdoor & Indoor Plants

I’m very pleased with this compost. I wanted to plant some delphinium seeds indoors. This has great texture, is a really decent sized bag..it will do several more years of seeds. Very easy to use. I’d suggest wetting it before adding to your seed trays as water does tend to sit on the top once it’s compacted. Out of 24 seeds 18 have germinated which is a fair success rate. I work on loosing a third so this was fairly effective. I’m happy with the quality and it was great having it delivered to my door. I’d definitely recommend this and the price was very competitive…less than our garden centre.

Bought for spring use but used last year and it didn't disappoint, nice fine and sandy mix.

Used this for my chilli seeds, they're growing very well. Good value as it works well. Good consistency, no massive lumps.

It was ok. Didn’t have much luck to start with as it seemed to ‘cement’ together after watering. But after mixing with perlite I had a lot more luck with my propagators.

This is a finely graded compost that is ideal for seedlings. I bought this after being disappointed with the poor quality seed compost my local garden centre was selling. Highly recommended.

Nice to use and good weight and quality. Retains moisture and has a fine texture. Does clump and plants grow nicely. Bag is manageable size.
