B-52's // Good Stuff

I have to agree with Underrated and Overshadowed. If anything this could have been the 2nd of a 2 disc set when they released Cosmic Thing. The vibe is the same, the harmonies are fantastic, and the evolution of their sound seems seamless between the two. And like Cosmic Thing, there are deep cuts that I love more than the hits, which is hard to do on one album, let alone two or more. I just downloaded what must be my 3rd copy of this album because I lose track of it, or loan it out, and then I miss it. It fell out of my rotation for a few years now and I found my other albums but not Good Stuff so I bought it again. Because its THAT good. The vocals on Revolution Earth alone are worth it.

While it's sad to be without all the original members, this album continues the tradition of at least one grand anthem and a solid set of fun dance / party music. Revolution Earth! Dreamland! Truly Good Stuff. Full and rich sound, great production values.

I had this album on cassette tape when it first came out and enjoyed listening to it while some family drama was going on in my life. At the time I remember I liked "Vision of a Kiss" a lot. I'm glad to have found it on CD. Cassette quality of sound is never very good. It's good to hear it again even though Cindy isn't on the album. It has some good songs which may have a slightly different feel from the original group, but it's all part of their evolution.

Man i love the b52's and this albums makes me like them more... all the songs are great.. and i can listen to the entire CD over and over.. not just one or two songs from it like other artists. strong vocals (due to Kate and Fred of course) and just over all FUN music make this one of my favorite albums to own. Frankly... I have fun when I listen to it.. and that to me makes it Soild Gold in my Book.

I recently picked up this CD and was 'bit' by the infectious rythms and melodies of this excellent B52's collection. Don't look for deep angst filled lyrics from this trio, only good clean fun. I couldn't stop listening to it for almost a week, I'd like to give the B52s a big hug for putting this together, it is just what I need sometimes.....

My cd single has a different track list than the previous reviewer. [1] GOOD STUFF [EDIT] [2] BAD INFLUENCE [3] RETURN TO DREAMLAND. I have suggested many times to AMAZON to require sellers put track lists on all music sales because many refuse to do so. I wanted the single with the remixes and this single has none, so annoying. I had to go to a competing website that lists the tracks to get what I wanted.

Not their best album but surely contains some fun tunes. We need more music like this today. Make sure you check out Funplex, their most recent album. I also bought their dvd of recent concert in GA. Fun times and don't we need more joy in the age of terrorism and Obama? God, yes!!
