aPHR Study Guide 2022-2023: 3 Full-Length Practice Tests and Prep Book for the Associate Professional in Human Resources Certification Exam [Updated for the New Outline]

I quit my job and did a complete career change, this study guide helped me pass my aPHR exam without any previous HR knowledge. I took 2 weeks to read the book and create a study guide and 2 weeks to study my materials. Overall it took me 34 days start to finish to obtain my aPHR with just this book! I rate a 4 out of 5 only because the answer guide in the back for the practice questions covers terms not in the main course content sections, so I wish the content provided more information on these specific terms/topics as going into the test I was concerned that questions may be asked and I only gained the limited information provided as a reason to why that term/topic was or wasn't the correct choice to the question. But either way I got the credential so I would highly recommend this book!

Overall, I found the product to be informative and direct. I like how it provides a study schedule, so you can determine how much to study depending on when you want to take the exam.That being said, I didn't like how at the end of each section, there was always one question in the practice test questions that involved information that was not covered in the section AT ALL. I kept flipping through the section to find the answers, but couldn't find them. I realized later that the information for these questions would be covered later in the book. For example, the answer for one of the practice test questions on page 71 isn't covered until page 139. Not sure why they structured the practice questions at the end of each section to cover material that's presented in later sections.It was also frustrating that there was no index as that would've made it a lot easier to find specific information. This book covers a lot of topics and has a lot of phrases/words that you need to know, so an index would be useful.

I’ve been looking everywhere for a book to help me prepare for the aPHR and I finally found it. This book is not only super easy to comprehend but it also includes helpful quiz questions that go along with the reading. All in all I give this book a 5 star rating and recommend if you want to pass your exam!

This book is good to start studying and reviewing the material required. It provides a good layout with detailed and organized material topics.
