Great Heat Gun For Resin Work
This is actually the second of these heat guns that we've bought because the first unfortunately got resin stuck on the power button, so if you are using this for resin work just be weary of that lol. This is a great basic little heat gun for tasks that don't need an excessive amount of heat. This works great for popping bubbles in resin or tasks such as shrinking heat shrink tubing.I like that it has a little metal stand built into it, and that the tip is plastic. I've owned a heat gun with a metal end and 'grill' and unfortunately accidentally burned myself on it, so the plastic is a welcome change for me. This doesn't ever get hot enough to damage the plastic. There's also a bit of texture to it for grip, which is also great in particular if you're clumsy like me lol.Overall, these have been very reliable. My fiance and I both use this for different tasks and had the previous one for a long while before it accidentally got resined. This would also be great for working with craft foam or worbla for fellow cosplayers out there! c:

Using this for 3D shrink plastic projects
I got this heat gun for making 3D shrink plastic projects and am very pleased. It's small and convenient and doesn't heat up the house the way an oven would. It's easy to focus the heat exactly where I want it and then I can quickly shape the plastic the way I want it to be.The power cord is flexible and 3 feet long, just about the right length for me. The only improvement I would make to this heat gun would be to have a switch more conveniently located, so I could switch it on and off single-handed, while holding and using it. I may learn a better technique, but right now, I set it down on its built-in stand, pointing away, then switch it off, which works.

Doesn’t work
This really does not work very well for resin. The cord for this is 18” long. By the time you plug it in you have 12 “ to work with. That pretty short to work with and get the direction of air where you want it.
