Great handy wee lock.

Solid and secure lock.

Item arrived on time and in good condition. However, after using the lock for one month to lock the garden door, the lock keys don't work anymore. The internal locking system got rust and I cannot turn the key or get it out. And it says is waterproof!!!

These are supposed to be solid brass, but they appear to be just brass coloured as they are starting to rust on the main ‘brass’ body. They appear to be well built and I have just coated them in a liberal spray of WD40

Sometimes it can be tricky to put on a regular lock as they seem to be too short, so I was happy to test this one with the longer locking thingy.I found it a lot easier to thread it through the hole on my Keter garden box as I can't actually see what I'm doing when I'm trying to lock this one. I was worried that it would be too thick as the hole is quite small but it fits with ease, so this padlock will fit most things, I would think, as long as the hole isn't very small. I like that it comes with 4 keys, that way I can have one with all the other padlock keys for the garden stuff, one on the back door keyring, one on the front door keyring and one to spare; I should never find myself out in the garden with the wrong bunch of keys. You also need the key to lock this padlock, which makes it less likely that you will have put the keys away before you've finished what you were doing, but it does mean that you can't put the keys away beforehand. The lock seems strong and looks stylish. I think I would put it sideways into the groove on my garden box so that it doesn't stick out as much.We're currently using the garden box for storing some tanking slurry, which is why it looks all grubby!

This is a great quality little padlock that is ideal for giving that little bit of extra security without having to add too much hassle. So when this arrived my first instinct was that it is a bit too thin and potentially flimsy but I was gladly wrong about that, when ordering I wasn’t sure on the size of the hole in our gate I was intending on using it on so I played it safe and ordered the smaller of the two width but in the long length to try and maximise compatibility, I do however now wish that I went for the thicker size.So this the padlock is very well made and it is easy to use, the key is a little unusual in that you need to turn it a full 180 degrees to unlock it and you hold it in this position until you want to close it, but that just takes a little getting used to and it is fine. It is far from the most secure padlock out there as I’m pretty sure small bolt cutters could easily get through it, but it definitely is a good deterrent.

When I ordered this padlock I liked the look and sound of it but for the price it goes for I didn't think it would be as good as advertised. I am pleased to say I was wrong. This is a really sturdy little lock that fits easily into the hasp lock that is on my back garden gate. It's much easier to open than the normal one that I had on it and I love that every lock has a different set of keys. Nobody can come along after buying a similar padlock and use their keys to open mine. That added security is really good. I also love that there are 4 keys with the lock, I for one have found myself searching for keys to various locks a few times. I have given one key to each family member so there will always be somebody who has a key if I lose mine.This is definitely an excellent product for a really good price.

Gutes schloss, guter Preis

Schloß im Groben wie beschrieben, die ersten braunen Stellen auf der Oberfläche zeigten sich jetzt schon nach einem Monat. Macht insgesamt keinen allzu stabilen Eindruck. Der Schlüssel wirkt, von der erkennbaren Struktur/Codierung her, nicht sehr sicher.Aber es war eben billig im Preis, von der Länge des Bügels her für mich interessant und es erfüllt seine Aufgabe.

Genau das was ich wollte.Langer Bügel, sperrt leicht und angenehm. Mehr gibt`s nicht dazu zu sagen-

Auf den ersten Blick macht das Vorhängeschloss einen sehr stabilen und hochwertigen Eindruck. Aber nach nur knapp 5 Wochen im Einsatz (und dabei insgesamt maximal 10 mal auf und zugeschlossen) hakt das Schloss dermaßen, dass es nicht mehr aufgeschlossen werden kann und schließlich mit einem Bolzenschneider aufgetrennt werden muss. Fazit: unbrauchbar
