Flanger Music Stand (FL-11)

I love this stand, and love how flexible it is in how it can be configured, and REALLY love the little spider leg flaps that hold the music down on non spiral bound books. However, please be aware that you cannot make the legs go too far down towards the floor, or it makes the stand unstable. I didn't realize this when I first set it up, as I had never used a stand like this before. I had it all set up, with the legs as close to the floor as I could get them, assuming it would make it more stable, but it made it very unstable. I had my Arban method trumpet book (a good sized, heavy book) on the stand, and had gone to bed for the night, and was woken up around 3am with a resounding crash of metal! The books weight against the legs being too far down had caused it to tip over, sending the stand and my music crashing into the trumpet and all of the metal candle holders on a table nearby! I learned my lesson quickly, and realized by looking at the photo (since this warning is not included in the setup instructions) that the legs are supposed to be set up a little higher, which gives it good stability, and I have not had a problem with it since. Very pleased with purchase...just wanted to warn future buyers to be careful so they don't have happen to them what happened to us! We thought it was someone breaking into the house in the middle of the night!

The media could not be loaded.  Good when you want to read not fall asleep. So standing helps.

This review is of the largest stand. It's big all right! I've included a photo to show how it looks next to my wide pickin' chair, with my mandolin bag next to it. At first I was worried, because as you can see from my music corner, I don't have much room for my music stuff I've had the little folding stands for decades, and nearly bought another because of space constraints. But I can't count the number of times a nudge on one of those has sent everything flying. This one lets me put my music and my 9.7 inch iPad next to each other without worry. It's sturdy, has a wide base, and solid-feeling set screws so it feels stable-as-a-table, even on my rug. I'm not at all worried about it toppling over. I paid full price and would buy again.

WORKS WELL. SOLID POST, HOLDER IS NICE AND HEAVY. CONERNED IF THE TENTION MECHANISM WOULD FAIL WITH CONSTANT USE. WOULD BE NICE IN WHITE, BROWN, TAN, ETC. BOUGHT IT BLACK BECAUSE IT WAS THE ONLY COLOR CHOICE.

This will NOT, I repeat NOT hold the weight of a caribou. Even a small one. But it will hold the weight of a few sheets of music and even a full three-ring binder filled with about ten years of songs I've printed from the internet and of which I can only play about half decently. So pretty much this stand can hold a decade of regrets. Not too shabby, says I.

We were surprised on how well this stand is. For the price we thought it would be a cheapy one..and just needed something simple.Wow...metal, with a perfect coating - very sturdy feel and heft....the legs are foldable, so it makes it easy to store. Excellent product..and were pleasing surprised on the quality.

Simple and effective. Easy to setup, easy to take down and move. Has had several sheet books on it (and some other knick-knacks as a makeshift table) and had no issues. Doesn't slip, doesn't lower on its own and just does what it's intended to do.Feels solid enough for the job and had no complaints. So, looks good to me.

This is way, way better than the collapsible music stand I had when I was in school, and for about the same price. The very top doesn't break down, but I generally just keep it out of the way at home and am not traveling with it anyway. It's not wobbly or flimsy, and sheet music and books and binders all fit and are held upright and open perfectly. All of the adjustable parts adjust easily and stay locked in position. I just have zero complaints.

Needed something that would hold my textbook at eye level, at an angle, while still allowing me to flip pages. This was strong enough for my 1,000 hardback financial accounting cengage textbook!

I received this today and was very happy. I can't speak to longevity, but it was a cinch to assemble. It seems very sturdy and well made. It easily adjusts in height and goes high enough for playing viola. I bought this for home practice so I won't be taking it apart much and I don't want a bag.

Perfect stand for at home to place sheet music on for my performing band student. The stand portion does collapse down if you wanted to travel with it but the upper part of the stand is as shown so it won't collapse anymore so it may be a bit bulky. I wouldn't recommend it for traveling back and forth to school for a student. But I do recommend it for at home use. It's durable and of good sound quality.

It's a good stand it's just way too walbley and it doesn't go as high as needed for standing.

Amazing product, fast shipping with Prime, worth the money. Paid for a cheaper version previously so I know how much better the quality is. Use it for reading and as a stand for electronics, so versatile! Get one for yourself. (But it has not yet lasted for a lifetime, so only 4 stars.)
