I have 4-24 volt 305 Watt panels I want to hook up in series for a remote communications tower to charge at 12 volts Is this possible?

According to the calculation: (4*305)/(12+1)=93.8A>80A, so it won’t work. It is recommended that you: 1. Use a 100A controller; 2. Hi, on a very bright sunny day, i measured 187 volts from my solar panels. will that damage the epever traacer 10415 controller? thanks for helping.

Looking at the owners manual, the maximum allowable open PV (solar panel) voltage is 138 Volts at 25C or approximately 80F. 150 at minimum lower temperatures. I wouldn’t recommend allowing voltage levels that high and would expect eventual damage.
