TLDR: well worth the money, happy with what i got for what i spent, dont really have a benchmark to compare it to but dont have any complaints after using it for around 10 hours of spraying out of 2 different days of using running constant from start to finish each day 4 hours first day 6 2nd.ive got some experience, very little but some with air brush guns an ive painted more than i could start to remember with a rattle can but i mom had some old furniture that was given to her that belonged to her brother after he passed an she asked me to clean it up an fix them back if i had to repaint them so i jumped on amazon an read alot of reviews an decided to go with the huepar sg800 cause i figured the motor not being attach to the gun made it alot lighter an easier to use for longer periods of time. first day i only put between 500 to 800ml of paint into the gun an it an it lasted for about 4 hours of me running the gun continuous, obviously i wasn't spraying this hole time but the pump or compressor not sure what u would call it was running pretty much the hole time. i started with the nozzle that it came installed so in sizes smallest to biggest 1-4 smallest being 1 biggest being 4 it was nozzle 2. when i first started trying to spray i didnt realize how sensitive the trigger was an that even with a light pressure on the trigger it was enough to already start spraying so i was using to much paint i guess u could say cause it was just splattering not really spraying, i didnt get a chance to read the manual cause they was rushing me to start doing them so as soon as it showed up in the mail 5 minutes later it had paint in the gun spraying so i had to figure it out as i was going but after i figured out how to adjust the trigger so i wasn't spraying to much paint cause it to splatter it sprayed pretty good. the first day i only got to spray with it for about 4 hours b4 i was getting to late so i cleaned the gun up left what paint was left over in the gun by putting the extra lid an i used the extra seal that came with it to go in that solid top lid so it would seal, im not sure it was meant for that or just a extra for the gun i used to to store the left over paint. next day it rained so i wasn't able to paint them cause im doing it in the door way of a garage so half in half outside to get sun light but to not being outside in the wind but 3rd day i started early an finished everything. i put the smallest nozzle in an added to the paint til it was abit over half full an that made the gun quite a bit heavier than the day b4 an was a about 200 300ml more than i needed in the end but with the smaller nozzle i felt it was more suited for what i was painting but to start with i when back an sanded the rougher areas back down in the places where i was "learning the gun" cleaned it all back up an started spraying, ended up running it for about 6 hours this time an got everything coated good an looked evenly covered. this will be how i go about painting everything that i can use it on, i dont know that much about painting, whats the best paint to use for the application but i always try to look into the stuff as much as i can b4 i start so im going to look into what all types of paint is ok to run through it an go from there. im sure u can spend alot more money an get a nicer gun but from what im doing an the results i got im extremely happy with the money i spent. only thing id like to have seen come with it was a 2nd container one smaller size, they could add the one from the smaller gun or mid sized either one just for those smaller jobs so u could fill it up without using as much paint so it could be held at a steeper angle with less paint if that makes sense, id be willing to pay a extra 10 15 bux if it came with a extra tank, its not a complaint just something that would make it that much better. i cant say it would be perfect for someone that is a professional painter or someone who makes a living from using something like this, maybe it is i dont know, but its def worth the little more for it just to detach the motor from the gun making it that much lighter. at first i wore the motor on my shoulder an it wasnt to bad until i started adding more chairs an tables to the spot i was painting an then it back a extra task to keep an eye on the hose an power cord to keep it from dragging against what i had already painted so the 2nd day i used it instead of wearing it on my shoulder i fix a place to set it up off the ground so it couldn't suck any dust into the inlet an that made it alot easier to deal with the hose that attaches to the gun, i had to move the motor from one side to the other as i worked an that was the one downside but i'll find a work around for that at somepoint, i'll make a base with wheels so it can roll or make a filter to go on the inlet side of a shop vac an hook its exhaust to the gun an use that to roll around to power it, i'll probably have to make adaptors for the hose but thats no problem (buy a 3d printer) theres options. but if ur looking for a gun that can be ran for 4 to 6 hours at a time so far its been chugging right along happy as can be as far as i can tell, no clogging an splatter has been on me not the operation of the gun this is a good choice for what i paid. also read the manual so u know what u need to know about the gun, i didnt realize there was a 3rd middle setting on the nozzle the let u spray in a circle pattern til the 2nd day i used it cause i sit down an read the manual after the first day of using it, its always worth reading the manual b4 using something, i just had my old man rushing me to try it an if i hadn't took off trying it myself he would have an i would have had alot more clean up to do to the first chair i painted than what i did myself, i did let him try it the 2nd day i used it an got the trigger set so it wouldnt splatter on him but i couldnt get him to keep moving the gun, he wanted to point an just wiggle it at what he was spraying an it took me a minute to get him acclimated to the spray patterns but i think it was more due to him trying to spray on top of what i had already previously painted an was adding extra coats so u had to be at the right angle to see the spray pattern going on but thats something everyone has to get used to an hes a retired coal miner so a delicate smooth hand isn't what hes used to using, hes used to smacking it with a hammer an if that dont work get a bigger hammer but hes why i know what i know about working on cars an anything mechanical. sry for the long explanation but its severed its purpose an got me my moneys worth already with what little ive used it an it will be the first thing i grab when i go to paint something next.

I have never used a paint sprayer before but tried it out on a fence that I needed to stain - it was so easy to use. I am an older lady and easy does it SO GLAD I USED THIS SPRAYER. I probably spent more time cleaning up than I did staining the fence and it looks great!

I only put stain through this, so cannot comment on paint. It worked well to stain a fence. It doing a larger area, I would want a higher application rate and of course I had to re-fill the reservoir several times. Value for money is high if applying a thin material and rate is not the first concern. There is some overspray, but that is expected with any sprayer - I put sheet plastic behind the fence to limit what sprayed through between the board gaps.I had an easy paint thinner cleanup, but again, I put a very thin product through this.

Sorry I took so long to write this review had to learn how to use it and the first try was kind of slow. That said this is the finest paint gun I have ever used and I have done multi thousand dollar paint jobs (concrete trucks). Just make sure you have some pure water to keep it clean and mix if you are spraying latex paint. I use RO water my self but have also used straight out of the sky rain water. The great thing is, is that this thing doesn't have a piston device to pump the paint and forever ruin the paint gun after you are done. Keep a needle handy to clean the spray tip from time to time and set the thumb screw on the trigger to adjust volume. If the nozzle is vertical it will spray horizontal and if it is horizontal it will spray vertical. I have used a lot of different paint devices but have never had it better than this.

Works great made my project easier

Attempted to paint my 10x12 office. I only accomplished 1.5 wall before going to the store and buying a roller and brush. I did read the instructions throughly and watched several YouTube videos before beginning. I even did a test area to make sure that I had the correct attachment and ratios before beginning.The only Pro is that you’re able to do multi coats at a time but you must hold the sprayer in place for a longer period to do so.CONS-you waste so much paint using this because you have to pour it in a separate container of your own to dilute the paint.. then you have to strain it and creating so many chances of mispouring which results in a mess and usable paint left in containers.-the cord is short, so I had to find an extension cord to do the top portion of the walls.-the machine is too heavy to comfortably hold with 1 hand and arm.-can’t understand how the back of the sprayer where the intake air and filter component is, collects paint.-paint dust gets everywhere. I was working on one wall and across the room behind me there was dust on the walls it was even on my ceiling vents where I hadn’t even been. Walked outside of that room and saw the paint dust on my furnace filter. (Must explain how the air intake area was the same color as the paint that I used)-the sprayer gets extremely HOT. had to keep stopping every 5-7 mins for it to cool down for at least 20 minutes before starting again-can only do 1/4 of the wall before having to refill the paint reservoir again which having to dilute and strain with each refill making it so time consuming and wasteful.-it splatters horribly. Could only do halfway up the wall because of the short cord but it still managed to get paint splatters on my ceiling.-the output air was so forceful it kept blowing up all of my plastic liners protecting my floors and baseboards resulting in paint getting on those exposed areas.-had to hold the trigger down with 2-3 fingers.Took me a stressful tiring 4.5 hours to do 1.5 walls with an additional 1.5 hr to complete the entire room with the old fashioned roller and brush.Hate that I wasted money on this sprayer that made such a huge mess and creating more work for me.
