Opening action is smooth and clockwork-precise, blade alignment is perfect when closed and free of even the slightest hint of wobble when open, and after clearing the detent the blade will close smoothly under the force of gravity given just a slight shake. Not necessarily a downside, but be aware that this is a fairly large knife. The non-tactical styling is gentlemanly and the scale thickness is actually quite slim permitting very comfortable pocket carry, but with a wide 3.75" blade and 8.5" of overall length, it's a good fit for larger hands but might not be the best choice for smaller ones, or for use in settings where largish pocket knives could attract undesirable attention.
