Excellent pair of Bluetooth stereo speakers
Awesome set of speakers for the price! Easy setup and fits naturally into a room if you have mostly wood furnishings. They seem tough and should last a long time; felt solid when putting them up on a shelf. Bluetooth was easy and natural; especially appreciate that the Bluetooth doesn’t work when a phone call is initiated. Excellent sound quality!

My second pair of Edifiers. Great products.
Bought these to go in my kitchen. Previously bought different (larger) Edifiers for the family room. These may actually sound better than the previous purchases, which is saying a lot. Sound quality is excellent. All ranges sound good, including bass. East to install and pair. They look beautiful. Great value for the money.

Loving these for sound and functionality!
I recently picked up the Edifier R1280DB speakers to pair with my record player, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice. These speakers strike a perfect balance between vintage charm and modern convenience. The wooden finish gives them a classic, timeless look—right at home next to my vinyl setup—while the Bluetooth and multiple input options make them incredibly easy to use with today’s equipment. Sound-wise, they deliver a rich, full-bodied tone that brings my records to life. The warmth in the midrange and the clarity in the vocals are exactly what I wanted for that authentic analog sound. I also appreciate that the bass and treble controls let me fine-tune the audio depending on what I’m spinning—whether it's an old jazz record or a modern pressing. They’re not just great for vinyl, either. I’ve connected them to my laptop and phone to stream music, and they perform wonderfully across all formats. Overall, the Edifier R1280DBs deliver an impressive blend of style, sound quality, and versatility. If you’re a vinyl lover looking for affordable powered speakers that do justice to your records, these are a fantastic pick.

Great speakers. Horrible remote. Replaced with a cheap programmable remote
Great value for the money. Terrific sound. Only downside is the remote control. You have to be within 3-4 feet of the speaker and point the remote directly at the IR sensor on the left side of the speaker. Even then it's iffy. I ended up buying a cheap $11 universal remote (CHUNGHOP L102 Learning Remote). It was a pain to program (poor instructions) but once programmed it worked flawlessly from anywhere in the living room.

Big high quality sound out of a small package
I've had these for about 4 years now and they have held up great. The sound quality is phenomenal, plenty of power, and the looks blend in in pretty much any environment. I have these hooked up to my TV via the Optical input to get the best sound quality possible. I haven't tried hooking them up via RCA, but Bluetooth and Optical is great. I was able to control the volume of these with my Fire tv remote, which is a huge plus. They're louder than I ever need them to be in my bedroom, sound quality is fantastic when using Optical input. They may be a little quiet for large spaces.

Great sound for the price...
Dont normally write a procuct review but this one deserves one. Did not expect the sound quality and craftmanship of these speakers. They are amazing. I am using them in the 12' x 12' den on bookshelfs and the sound is great for the price. I have a wired RCA cabled turntable for LPs and also use the BT for playing streaming music and in all cases the sound is great. It also comes with a remote which is nice for volume and audio in switching. The remote is not large or a totally full fuction remote, however it also turns them off and on out of standby mode.... nice feature.

Fantastic sound! Best value small media speakers in this price range!
I've had these for about a week and I'm very impressed! I'm an audio engineer by profession so I'm naturally hyper critical regarding speaker sound quality, balance, and tone. I have lots of experience with both similarly priced monitors this size and ones that cost10x as much, designed for critical listening SO, the verdict? Before I get technical, these1280DB speakers are simply SATISFYING and very PLEASANT to listen to for most genres of music, TV & movies and spoken content. Bass is natural, low mids are full and punchy, highs are crisp and most importantly, the mids are clear and detailed. They hold their own compared to $$$ Dynaudios! They are smooth like ribbon-tweeter ADAMs. Bose fans will probably not like these as the EQ curve is not over hyped in the lows nor brittle in the highs. Getting this sound along with 2 analog inputs, 2 digital inputs, bluetooth AND a useable on-board EQ AND a remote with a Mute button (!!) is simply unheard of at well under $150. If you are looking to upgrade your media center in a bedroom or small living space, listen to a variety of music and content for extended hours do not pass these up! Your won't find better with these features. I'm getting another set for the bedroom. TL;DR Are there better speakers out there? Absolutely. But not with this feature set and well planned multi-use I/O. If you like extremes (massive bass, head frying treble and volumes that will rattle your glassware, these aren't for you. If you like to be right there in the studio with Miles Davis recording Kind of Blue, hearing nuance and tone, these are for you. There is ZERO listening fatigue at up to 90% of max volume for hours! Fatigue is commonly found with speakers of this size (Bose) and class that commonly sound ok for about 15 minutes until your ears fight off the painfully hyped EQ curve by reducing your sensitivity to bass and treble, leaving a messy and tiring midrange. Rather, these Edifers can be placed in a small living room and sound great all over the room. Great for passive listening as well as focused listening. Excellent stereo imaging too. They don't get crazy loud (you can speak loudly over them at 90% volume - above 95% distortion starts to enter and your don't want that) but are plenty loud for small to mid size rooms. There's bass for sure, but they don't thump. And you shouldn't expect that for ~$130 unless you want fake fatigue thump. To get true thump you need a woofer cone at least 6" , pref 8". To outdo these speakers you're looking at $200+ and half the features. No, they are not flat but the inherent EQ curve works amazingly well. I can critically judge mixes on these. They sound natural in the bass, crisp but soft in the high freq and most importantly they have a CLEAR, nicely balanced low-mids to mids to high-mids range. And these are " computer speakers " per se! I would use these in a pro studio if I had to. And look, sound is extremely subjective. You'll get 100 different opinions from 100 ppl. But your can trust that all things equal, you will surely enjoy the sound of these. They have a tone to them that is just RIGHT, and not all wonky in some random freq area or phase issue like most other small format consumer models. Edifer nailed it with these and I don't know how they kept them under $150. Don't pass these up. They sound fantastic! From minute 1 to hour 12.
