I purchased this locking storage bin to securely hide my wife's presents from her. It comes in a large box and assembly is required. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Each piece has a red sticker with a letter, and you match the corresponding letters to each other. It takes a lot of force to snap the pieces together, but, once connected, they are very stable. In addition to snapping snugly, there are multiple screws on each piece. A small screwdriver is included. The only flaw I found with this product was screwing the screws in. They are so close to the walls that my adult hands couldn't operate the screwdriver easily because there is no room between the walls and the tool. Aside from that, assembly was easy and only took 7 minutes. There is a combination lock on the front that you can set to any number. You set a switch on the inside to lock in the combination of your choice. The dials were easy to rotate and operate. The latch secured well. My wife tried to open the container and it didn't budge, so it works perfectly. It's also a nice size for presents. Overall, I highly recommend this storage container for anyone wanting to secure large items. 5/5 stars.

Purchased this for $79.99. It requires assembly, which seemed simple with a screwdriver and screws included. Once together, it appears sturdy enough, and changing the combo lock was easy.Decent product at average value, in my opinion.

The combination lock is terrible. I have to assume either SereneLife changed to a new cheaper lock, or this one is defective. It gets stuck, isn't easy to change when not stuck, and has made it completely unusable for our purposes. We need to lock away treats and junk food to limit access, but as it currently is so difficult to get into that we've had to fall back to hiding them... The box is otherwise study and light and easy to move.We own one of the smaller SereneLife boxes, and it is excellent. Light, strong, lock moves easily. We hoped this larger one would be just as well-loved

I thought I would receive the box as a unit and there were no advisories that full assembly was required. You have to assemble it from the "ground up" and it is essentially as secure as you can tighten screws. Very disappointed. I hate when a company forces me to become part of their assembly line for an item I've paide them for.

PROS: easy to assemble. sturdy. secure enough for household items. this model has a lot of room to store. combination works fine (4 numbers), easy to reset.CONS: this is not a metal safe so anyone can break it with force (screwdriver, etc.), but then it would be obvious. not fire proof since it's plastic. not water proof (I put a plastic sheet on top).ADVICE: use for checkbook, cash, documents, medicines (so kids won't get to it). would not recommend for storing guns just in case.

I have a son with autism. He steals food out of the cupboards - primarily snack food, but it can also be food he doesn’t like. I have found gross open food cans hidden in strange places (bathroom, laundry room). If I left the snacks unlocked, they would all be gone - eaten or hidden. I was finding food under his bed, crumbs on his bedroom floor, crumbs on his bed, and messy garbage in his dresser drawers. One day, the proverbial light bulb appeared over my head and I decided to check Amazon for locking containers. I found this one. When it arrived, I put it together fairly easily - just needed a screwdriver and screws, all provided. I was amazed, but I got ALL of the chips, cookies, crackers, etc. into the container - about 3 full paper grocery store bags! The combination lock is pretty easy to set and you CAN change the # code. This container will does exactly what I want it to do. It was such a good good box that I bought a second one. See photo: cereal, snacks, sugar, cans, tomato sauce, hot chocolate packets, etc. Love this item.

I bought the item for a senior to keep track of valuables in an assisted living facility. The numbers on the lock are very hard to read if you are a senior. It is also hard to tell is you are moving the 4 numbers on the combination lock as it's cheaply made. The container itself is lightweight which could be a pro or a con.

Bought two of these for a 12 Step group that I belong to. We are able to leave these one of these boxes at each of our meeting locations, and have our materials ready and waiting on meeting nights.

Assembly is fairly easy, although it takes some work to get the screws full tightened. Once put together, this is a solid, durable lockbox. Useful, in my case, to keep things secured in the home.
