Great addition for a howa 1500 mini action
I got this picatinny rail for my howa 1500 mini action in 223. The quality feels really good. its solid it doesn't feel flimsy. I was impressed. My only complaint come with the shipping. it took almost two weeks to get here. The price. was ok, not expensive nor cheap. Worth the price.

Fits great, but requires special tools
Product works great, but I did need to take it to a gun smith to get it installed because I didnt have a torque screw driver. If I remember correctly the torque for it was 15-18 foots pounds or what ever. If you ask the seller they'll tell you.

Worked great on 2 Howa Mini Action rifles in 6.5 Grendel
I installed these picatinny base on 2 Howa Mini Action 500 rifles in 6.5 Grendel. These guns were being set up for a 7 and 8 year olds' first deer rifle. A picatinny rail design allows for easier adjustments for proper eye relief without having to level the crosshairs each time like with standard weaver or Leupold/Redfield dovetail bases. You have about 1/2" each direction of adjustment with 42mm objective scopes with medium height rings.Low height rings will work also on 42mm objectives, but may limit position options on the rail. Medium height rings gave good eye position with the factory stocks on these rifles and there was ~1/4" between the top of the barrel and the bottom of the scope objective. An option is to grind down the ends of the rail so they don't touch off on the objective and power adjustment sections of the scope when you move it fore and aft. A little flat black paint will cover the shiny spots. Why these kinds of bases for bolt action rifles, from all base manufacturers, don't come this way I don't understand. For the Howa Mini Action rifles I would just stick with medium height rings.

Great Rail - Now I Will Buy One with 20 MOA
Very impressed with the rail. Excellent quality. Fits perfectly on my Howa 7.62X39mm. I am attempting to reach out to 500 yards with that cartridge - so I will be switching to the same product with 20 MOA built in. With 0 MOA, I am close to max'd out elevation-wise just to get to 200 yards with my Nikon scope. We'll see how that turns out.
