Just what I was looking for. Switch has a small set screw for adjustment of small, low load fans, to large ceiling fans. My use case in a small (6”) in wall, between room fan (helps distribute heat and A/C to a room that doesn’t have any) and this is PERFECT. After you install, set the switch to the lowest speed and slowly adjust the set screw until your fan just barely starts spinning. Max will always be max speed on the large dial, but this adjustment helps you really get a lineal 100% attenuation of fan speed. This is loss better than the $26 three speed fan switch I bought at the big box store…

I was replacing a selector-type speed switch that would not let the fans run on the low speed. This one has a low speed limiter. Problem is, it caused the fans to hum rather noticeably on any speed other than full high.Had to remove it.

I installed this control to slow a strong (thus noisy) bathroom exhaust fan. The preset range allowed the fan to slow too much at the bottom end. However the entire range can be adjusted via the small white plastic "range adjustment" screw. So I was able to easily shift the entire range to a higher output so the low end on the white dial knob was no longer "burnout" slow. Turn the knob to turn on - then it ranges from hi to low speed. Minus 1 star as turning on the fan caused to bathroom lights to flicker - not sure why as this did not occur with the old toggle switch. FYI - The switch and its packaging were both marked 3 amp.
