Put it through some hand movements to ensure the handle holds.
This is a replacement for a new one I bought from here as well. My advice is to take it out when you get it and make the sure handle can reliably hold weight. This included filling the pan/pot with water and sloshing it about. Posterity will save you from burning yourself if the handle gives away. Better a cold liquid spilling than a hot one later on.

Heats up quickly
Holds the heat. Not good for oven use over 300°

Ballarini skillets & pans
Wonderful! Excellent in every way you can think of. This line of cookware is pricey, but the durability & performance are worth it.

Handle Oven Bake Limit low (300F /150C) 5 Stars if temp higher
1st THE BAD:- Pan handle was loose upon arrival, it tightened up easily with a philips head screw driver, but it shouldn't have needed it.- The pan can't go in the oven above 300F, this is too low. I am concerned with the radiant element at the top of my upper convection oven will damage the handles.- The lid can't be hung with the pan on my pot rack, the handle won't fit through the small hole on lid.= This pan replaces a very expensive non-stick pan that is losing its coating, I hate buying another pan.NOW THE GOOD:I love this pan! I should have bought it earlier.- I can use a lower heat on my smooth top electric stove with this pan. So it is less likely to overheat.- The Thermopoint gauge is brilliant, and it magically changes color to indicate when the pan is ready to cook.- Cooked scrambled eggs ala Ramsey, and burgers in this pan so far.- Clean up is too easy, squirt some dish washing liquid on a non-abrasive sponge swish it around and rinse. Done, dry and hang it for the next use. The instructions say you can put in the dishwasher, I would never do that. It is an aluminum pan. The dishwasher corrodes aluminum, so any chip or scratch in the covering will allow the corrosion to get under the nonstick coating. It cleans so easy I don't want to not have to wait for the next meal.Things Ballarini can do to improve the pan:1. Make the handles so they can go in a hot 400F oven, this 300F is way to low.2. Double check the handles are tight before shipping.3. Adapt the lid so it can be hung with the pan on a pan rack.I recommend you buy this series of pans, I will be getting the fry pans shortly, got to wait for the copper pans to stop working.

I really like this pan..... except for the lid ---- dropped rating
The pan heats nicely, and everything I've cooked in it came out great. It is easy to clean, inside and out. The heat indicator lets me know when it is hot enough for adding food. I really like the pan.I'd give it 5 stars except for the lid. I'm tempted to take off two stars for that. The lid does not have a metal bad around it to protect it. The handle is small and has to be picked up with finger tips. Who the heck thought that was a good design? That is my biggest complaint. It gets wet between the handle and the glass lid. The rest of the pan is excellent. The lid is substandard. Unfortunately, the pan is bit smaller than my 10 inch pans, so those lids (which are all better than this lid) won't fit either.Update 02-01-2023It is just a year old, and the outside looks pretty bad. I could try something more abrasive, but I think that would make it worse. Also, the thermal indicator on the handle no longer works. So, it is a one year pan. For that, it only deserves 3 stars.

Perfect Sauce Pan
This pan is perfect. I received it packed in the original package, perfect packing material to prevent damage during shipping.I’ve used it the last week for cooking three different varieties of fudge for Christmas. It’s important to not use on high heat, it’s a non-stick pan. I start off at low heat and gradually increase to medium heat.I make sure to use silicone utensils when cooking with the pan. Cleaning is a breeze, completely cool the pan and wash with a soft cloth. I never put non-stick pans in the dishwasher.I’m really happy with my purchase and hope to order more from this collection.Oh, the pan wasn’t dented, the lid fit perfectly and the bottom of the pan was engraved, not stamped. See my photos.

Quality coating
Heat distribution is more even than other similar priced names brand pots. A light coating of olive oil before adding water for the morning oatmeal and even the thickest load just tilt the pot and it all pours out in the bowl. A light sponge out to clean. Other pots do this but they start to stick by now.

Very good heat distribution and easy to clean.
Shape of the saucepan is oval not rounded on the right side, not sure if the glass lid can fully cover it, I seldom cook food needs to have lid on though.

Two defective pans in a row
My first order of this product came deformed (flattened side of pan to the point you couldn’t put the lid on). Returned the item and reordered only to receive a replacement with the exact same issue. There is obviously a defective batch of this product in circulation, but no quality control to ensure the consumer isn’t repeatedly inconvenienced.
