This cam phaser worked on my 2004 ford f150 5.4l 3 valve engine !!

Part originally worked great, looked good, was definitely the proper size and housing and easy to install (I am very mechanically inclined), however the part has failed after 5 months. Failed in the same way that most phasers fail. Was only driven about 1000 miles as well. Will consider updating my review if seller is willing to remedy the situation by replacement or otherwise.

Not a bad kit for the money. The phasers aren’t any good. They refuse to lock back in place causing a rough idle after the motor is warm. Unable to return because I’m past my 30 days. When people say on the reviews “junk” it really doesn’t explain much. For all I know their mechanical skills are the same as their review skills so I ignored them; my mistake. Timing on a 5.4 liter can be time consuming especially if it’s something you don’t do everyday. I would suggest buying different phasers to install with this kit if you purchase. I ended up going with Dorman; the parts are made in China but they are assembled and tested in the USA. If you’re using these kits at your business enjoy continuous return of customer complaints as this particular update on your vehicle is expensive. I did message the seller with no response.
