Bob Smith Industries Debonder

This cyanoacrylate (super glue) debonder works well. It's not very viscous, so be careful when applying it, as it may run. For full effect, it takes a few minutes to work and soften up the glue joints. I usually leave it to soak for 5-10 minutes before attempting to take apart the glued joint.

This works well… I glued a magnet on a refrigerator decoration and I got a little glue on the countertop and the door of the refrigerator. I received this about a week later and it took the super glue off both the countertop and the refrigerator door even after a week. Great product!

This works pretty well, but debonding super glue type products is always difficult. None-the-less, I always keep one of these on hand for when you "accidentally" glue your fingers, etc. to something they shouldn't be glued to. It happens so fast and is almost frightening when it does. Note that you will probably have to work in from your finger edges usually, since the item you might be glued to is usually not porous. If porous, sometimes you can apply to the other side of the glued portion for faster debonding if it will soak through from the backside.

WOW. I had stupidly gunked up my little ancient ipod with crazy glue, including the camera. THIS product neatly and quickly softened the glue, and let me easily peel and rub it off. It even rescued the camera! It didn't damage any surface on the ipod. This is good stuff.

I use industrial grade super glue in my business. Oddly the jobber who supplies our raw materials, including all glues, doesn't carry a superglue de-bonding agent. I find that strange since this particular vendor I do business with has six or more types/brands of superglue plus carries the curing aerosol that is a must for me. OK, I'm an almost daily superglue user is basically what I'm trying to get across. When you use superglue constantly you are going to have a "situation". Hopefully whatever causes the need to use this un-cure stuff will be benign instead of, well, you know. Here's what happens to me: I get some on my hands or some on the footwear upper I'm working on. Also on occasion my fingers get stuck to something or together. This product works to avert a problem in all of these situations. If you get enough of it on the bonded area it immediately loosens. It will sometimes discolor shoe leather I've noticed, but it didn't seem to do so as much as the similar product my local Hobby Lobby discontinued. If you think you will need this product by all means get it. This brand works very well and is priced reasonable from Amazon. Maybe you should buy it even if you don't think you need it because trust me its better to have it and not need it that to need it and not have it!

This worked amazingly well to remove Gorilla Super Glue from car paint (don't ask). It stripped the fully cured glue in under a minute, without damaging the clear coat protected paint. It will also strip any unprotected paint, so be careful of that.

I was just going to use a little crazy glue, but when I barely squeezed the tube, it went down the side of the item I was trying to glue…when I grabbed it he item, the glue adhered my hand to the thing, and then I noticed that it went throug the paper towel and around some of it onto my counter top. After expressing some favorite words, and trying to get the now glued paper towel to come up, (which it didn’t)_ I started looking for something that MAY get it all up. I had to wait a couple of days after ordering the BOB SMITH UN CURE. I didn’t really hold much hope, but when it came, I put a generous amount on the fist sized DRIED glue. I left it on there for about 7 - 10 minutes, and wiped it up with another paper towel. I can’t even see where the glue adhered to the counter…This stuff is amazing! If I could give it more stars, I really would!

Thought I'd try this to see if it would remove 2 blobs of superglue from a silk blouse (yes, I was careless and got it on a silk blouse) that I just assumed was ruined. BUT-tried this stuff and it is AWESOME! I took my time and within a few minutes the glue was gone.Even the biggest spot was removed and it does not hurt the fabric-- even silk. I will always keep a bottle on hand because I will continue to use superglue and am sure I will need it again.So if you're wondering whether this debonder works, wonder no more.I am so glad I saw this brand and this seller and ordered this amazing stuff!!

Very good product

Hope this review helps anyone in a similar situation, as I couldn't find any examples of it in other reviews. a few week ago I got superglue on my LED monitor screen (don't ask!). It wasn't much but it was starting to annoy me. I took a punt on this remover and prayed to the monitor gods that it didn't do any damage. I'm pleased (and relieved) to say that it worked perfectly. Adding some of the debonder to some tissue and gently pressing against the glue loosened it and then it rubbed off pretty easily.

Used this to help remove a battery in a MacBook Pro which was well and truly stuck down. A few drops of this and Removing the battery was made very easy. I can’t recall any smell.

Used it to remove Mac book pro battery. Did exactly what I needed it to do. Good product.
