Taylor K1001 Basic Residential DPD Pool or Spa Test Kit

Have used this exact kit for 6-7 years. Have never had any issues maintaining a properly sanitized, clear pool. I used to simply buy the replacement chemicals every 16-18 months and kept the original kit, but this time the chemical replacement would have cost me nearly twice the cost of the whole kit!!?? And we wonder why this has become a "throw-away" society! We all foolishly contribute to the environmental issues that plague this country.

It is my understanding that the tailor system of pool chemistry is the gold standard in the owner use check your pool line of things the only gripe I have is that the color changes on the pH and the chlorine are so subtle that it becomes difficult to ascertain what exactly you are looking at yes I understand that to go from a pH of 6.8 to a pH of 7.8 there is a vast difference but between 72 and seven for not so much so I guess in summary it seems to be accurate enough it’s just that my old eyes have a problem and discerning the gradation of the test result

Have been looking for a pool testing kit that would allow me to check my pool chemical levels myself and add whatever amounts of chemicals needed. I assumed, based on the description of this product, there would be information included for that purpose. Description stated:*Comes with waterproof instruction card written in non-technical language*Flipside of the instruction card has dosage charts so you can translate test results into treatmentThe kit did come with instructions for using the test kit but contained no dosage chart for treatment. The kit is useless to me without a dosage chart so I know how much of each chemical I need to add after testing. Decided not to return the kit, am hoping I can find dosage charts online to use with this kit.

After only 7 months the chlorine was not measuring properly. Turns out it expired the same month, only 7 months after i purchased it. I emailed Vm innovations and they did not care to make it right. I'm very disappointed that i got scammed into buying this old product.

We originally purchased the pool test strips to monitor our 10’ Intex quarantine pool and just like the bad reviews they were not showing chlorine. I grew up using one of these kits so I quickly got one delivered.Very easy to quickly read Chlorine and PH. Much more confident in the results and we are keeping the pool clean and safe.
