I was pleasantly surprised when I got these in the mail; I got the gold set & they were actually made of metal & had lots of gems that didn't look cheap or Claire's quality. They came with four thick gold-colored bobby pins; each crown had small metal loops on the inside, presumably for the bobby pins to go through. The tiara looked really good, but it required way more than four pins to stay on my head. The crown was pretty small and didn't stay on; it probably would have had to been clipped on with small claw clips. Neither item had the metal claws that traditionally come on costume crowns. Overall you could definitely get the tiara to stay put, but the crown would probably be more difficult.

The crown I ordered was gold but I received a black one. Pretty, but not what I was looking for.
