I've said it before that I've run out of words to describe Katy's book's she is a genius in this book world and I love her words
You know 5 stars seems so low for this book it really does need so many more. Once you open a Katy Evans book you just fall into that world and don't come back out for week's, even though you have finished the book within hours. Because once you start you don't stop til you finish it. I've said it before that I've run out of words to describe Katy's book's she is a genius in this book world and I love her words!!! This book is no different. Aaric and Bryn are absolutely perfect and you will fall in love with both of them. You will laugh, you will cry, you will get upset, and you will get so hot you will need a shower! But you will not put this book down for anything. The dual pov's is on point, the backstory is on point. The descriptions that Bryn go through is so on that you feel it in your soul, like it's you going through it. I love when an author makes you feel so much and Katy is definitely one of them. I definitely recommend this book. Shew I recommend every book Katy has ever written. She is one of my unicorn authors!!! But in all seriousness this book goes on the list of best of 2017!!!! - By Tina

ANOTHER HIT FOR KATY EVANS FANS! I JUST LOVED IT.
Katy Evans once again brings her A Game in this sexy, new standalone romance that's loaded with angsty tension, steamy goodness, and delicious feels. I swear, I'm a huge fan of this author because she never fails at blowing me away. I've read and loved all of her books and Tycoon was no different. Aaric is another strong Evans Hero that's so easy to love, he stole my heart! And I have to say, I absolutely adore a good second chance romance. They're so sweet. I love that there's already a healthy history between the characters that creates this immediate intimacy you just don't have in a romance where the couple meets for the first time. Tycoon has that, it has this sweet friendship/intimacy right from the get go that I just loved.Bryn Kelly is a young entrepreneur from Austin, now living in New York, who's trying to secure funding for her new business venture. Aaric Christos a shark, a real estate tycoon who's earned a fierce and ruthless reputation in NYC. Aaric is smart and sexy, a self-made millionaire who knows exactly what what risks to take and what risks to let go. Bryn comes to Aaric after a friend helps her secure a meeting with him to ask for funding. And from there a back and forth begins that leads to a friendship being reborn, and a sweet romance igniting. Bryn and Aaric have a history. They were friends when they were younger but haven't seen each other in over a decade. They both had feelings for each other when they were young, but it never worked out. Now with Bryn in NY, right in Aaric's clutches, things are about to get deliciously intense in the most epic way.Katy Evan's really knows how to build sexual tension into her books. Tycoon is a slow build that had me wanting more and more with each and every page. I truly loved the way we got to watch this romance blossom while getting little peeks into both the characters when they were younger. It had all the things I love in a good romance read. A growing friendship, fun back and forth banter, adorably charming flirting, the yearning for each other and of course, angst. Overall, I'd say this is another hit for Katy Evan's fans. I think you'll fall in love just like I did. It's impossible not to. Bryn and Aaric are adorable and so sexy! And I was completely charmed by their romance.

This is another book that I find d hard to rate. The positives: I liked the story. It has enough angst and drama to keep you on your toes, yet there is no gratuitous OTT drama. I appreciate a story that doesn't feel like the author is just writing outrageous situations for shock value or to manipulate the readers feelings. It's a strong story that doesn't rely on these tricks to stand on its own.I like the essence of the characters. I liked that Bryn was a strong woman, she isn't perfect, but that's what makes her stand out. Her vulnerability and sometimes self doubt is endearing, and it only adds to her strength and courage. I liked Aaric, tooThe negatives: I had a hard time getting the connection between the town main characters, up until the last few chapters of the story. I'm not sure why, but I couldn't fully connect with them and I couldn't really feel their love for each other, until very late in the book. Maybe it because of how the story was written. While I appreciate the flash backs written in between the present time chapters, it took me a while to put the whole picture together. Like pieces of a puzzle, we were given a little piece of their past with every flash back, so it's not until we get all the pieces that I get their connection. Honest just based on their present time interactions I had a different impression of what their feelings for each other were in the past. Aaron felt too cold and aloof, like she had hurt him in the past and he was trying to get back at her, but that wasn't the case. And Bryn was sending such mixed signals that I wasn't sure what her feelings were.Another issue for me was the dialogue. At times it felt stilted, like they were saying something and didn't really finished saying it. Or they weren't saying what was in their thoughts, and it was weird. It felt cold and impersonal at times, and incongruous or out of context at other times.A minor issue for me is the fact that a few aspects in the story seem looked over or not developed enough. Like the fact that the business she's developing, and was a central part of the plot, suddenly becomes just an afterthought and gets developed almost magically.Lastly, I feel like everything was rushed at the ending. The resolution for the big conflict at the end was way to rushed and easy. I needed more closure on certain things. Especially involving the situation with the OW and the brother. The ending was definitely rushed and not nearly as satisfying as it could or should have been. I didn't get the satiated feeling I get with a full HEA or a nice jump ahead epilogue. Although they do get a HEA, it feels more like a HFN because we don't get the answer to some important issues. All in all I liked the story, it made me feel a lot of emotions and that's what counts at the end, so I find it very much worth reading. I will be waiting for Sara and Ian's story next.
