Reliable and quiet unit - recommend!
Great unit, especially for the price. Keeps very stable temp and operates quietly. Have found it maintains ~70% RH with very little effort (using Boveda pack instead of the provided water dish). Lots of space for cigar storage. I made jump from desktop humidor and am very glad to have chosen 48L size for growing, but modest collection. Black design looks really good, although a little difficult to see digital hygrometer reading through the glass. Not a big deal for me since I used WiFi sensors and monitor temp & RH from my device. Be mindful that to pull out the drawers, the door needs to swing all the way open, so not ideal if you plan to position against a wall or object on the right of unit. After weeks of online research for a medium-sized unit that won’t break the bank, really pleased with this purchase.

Great Product & Great Customer Service
My humidor was purchased in 2023. Everything worked fine for 2 years but it then began making a noisy hum. I feared it was the compressor since the noise was present when the fan at the BACK was NOT spinning. I contacted the company knowing it was just a bit after the 24 month warranty has passed to see if they could help. They initially said sorry, it was out of warranty but further exchange in asking their help in diagnosing the noise, they invited me to send an audio file to them so they might determine the sound. I did so and they suggested it was the INTERNAL fan. I didn't know there were TWO fans! The internal one is the one that constantly circulates air. I emptied the unit and discovered that is exactly what it was. They went above & beyond helping me and I was sent a replacement fan. This was simple to install and I would even say the replacement fan is quieter than the original when I first received the humidor. Perhaps the original fan was substandard from the beginning and simply degraded prematurely? Perhaps the corner of a 5 pack cellophane wrap worked its way past the guard and stopped the fan from spinning? I've included an image of the fan. The same unit is available on Amazon if your humidor begins to hum. this one: TX8025L12S 12V Wine Cabinet Constant Temperature Silent Cooling Fan Thank you to NeedOne customer service.

Humidity and Smell Issues (Updated on 1/22/24)
I bought this on October 5th. I was impressed by the recommendations from cigar reviewers, and it was about the perfect size plus it cooled AND heated--which was important. I noticed when I got it, there was an odor--kind of like hydraulic fluid maybe??? I used baking soda for a week, and it didn't go away, but I figured it would go away after time. It has not. I am sad about this, but I could live with it. The last three weeks, the unit won't hold humidity. I have changed the two 320-gram Boveda packs and even bumped them from 69% to 72%. The reading is staying around 58% to 61%. NOTE: I am using a three pack of Switchbot hydrometers--one in my standard desktop humidor, one in my transition humidor and one in this unit. They have all been calibrated. It is sad because I bought this unit specifically to store my better cigars--Fuente Fuente Opus X's. Padron Serie 1926 #9s, Rocky Patel ALRs (2nd Edition), and my favorite frequent smokes--Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro lanceros & figurados. They are all going to have to be moved into another humidor now, and rehydrated and I lost the money I spent on this unit--which I reallly had high hopes for! The humidity problem with this unit has happened in the last three weeks, so my purchase is past the return date. Hopefully someone with the company reads this and takes pity on my plight. If they do, I will do a follow up review with a truthful account of events. I scored it at 2 stars because it is just this one unit and may be a fault specifically to the one I was sent. I was at 4 stars (because of the smell) until three weeks ago. Peace-r. 11/22/24: I was contacted by the manufacturer about two days after I wrote this review. They have been in constant contact and responded to me quickly. They not only offered me possible ways of fixing the issue (which I am now working through), they also offered some refund to help cover the inconvenience. Alyson has been excellent in correspondence and quick to dialogue about the issues and my take on it. They actually are trying to be helpful, and that should be commended. I would say that if they hadn't read my original review and reached out, I did not have any way to connect with them that I can see. I will be interested if they find a way to QC the issue at the manufacturing stage. I am working on the smell issue now. I will see what happens with the humidity control after that.

Great customer service. I had an issue with the 1st unit, returned it and had a replacement in 3 days. The new unit works great.

Real quality - at a very low price point for what you get.
When I opened it, the smell of cedar was just right. I had purchased extra cedar planks for the break in period, and 82% Boveda bags. Didn’t really need the extra cedar. It’s very quiet and went from 75 degrees to 65 in about 2-3 hours, where it has stayed. I have a couple other (non electrical) humidors. In Michigan the humidity and temperature can change at the drop of a hat. Boveda bags keep humidity simple, but do nothing for temperature. I’m hoping the heating element works as well as it cools. I was most concerned with sticks getting over 70 degrees however, not to worried about them getting cold- as the house is never below 65. It’s well made, about the size of a large computer tower. Not imposing. Found it referred to in numerous non-Amazon searches as an ideal quality unit for 150 sticks. The case light at the top is all but useless, as it only lights the top sticks. There is the concern of mixing too many types of sticks together and the flavors blending. This hasn’t been a problem in my other humidors unless I unwrapped sticks mixed together. I did that purposely with 2 brands and aged them that way for 2 years to infuse them with each other. The results - meh. Best to buy top sticks. Great buy so far. Will update if anything fails…. ENJOY !

On receipt of this humidor I found that it was fitted with a US plug and ran on 110V mains. There was no mention of this before I bought it. I had to buy a 240V step down transformer. The lining of the humidor is plastic and there is a distinct plastic smell which did not go when I wiped the interior with distilled water. The smell is much less now but it would be better if it was wood lined. Also, the shelves don't smell like Spanish Cedar. I have Spanish Cedar liners for a non electric humidor and they have a very distinctive scent which the shelves in this humidor don't have. I can't say for certain that they are not Spanish Cedar but I have my doubts. The manual says leave cigars in their boxes. I have three empty cigar boxes and they are all too big to fit in the humidor. The manual also says that the ambient temperature of the room should be at around 25C. If I could control the ambient temperature of my rooms I would not need a temperature controlled humidor. The main reason I bought this was to be able to control the temperature of the cigar storage at night and in the winter when it gets cold. Humidity readings seem to be accurate enough, only 2 degrees out tested with a separate Xikar meter. Strangely, the temperature reading on the Xikar shows as 70F which should mean that the temperature is ideal but the cigars come out cold to the touch. The fan at the rear of the unit only blows out cold air and the shelves and the cigars get cold. Even if you put the cigars at the front of the shelves, they still get cold. It's described in the user manual as a chiller which means that it is intended to chill cigars, not keep them at 70F. I was expecting it to keep cigars at the proper temperature in cold weather, instead it chills them, though I have found that if you leave the light switched on it tends to warm up the shelves. This may be enough, but is not ideal. I would not recommend this humidor unless you live in the US and you like cold cigars, it's probably worth looking around for something this size but without so much plastic and isn't a chiller, and if you're in the UK something compatible with UK mains electrics. 12/10/2025. Further to this review: when I bought and reviewed this humidor the reviews were showing 0 reviews from the UK. Now there is a review showing from a UK customer on 31 March 2025. If I had been able to see this review I would not have bought this humidor since it needs a step down transformer for the UK. Not much point in reviews if they are going to be hidden.
