High quality for medical dictation
My husband uses this for medical dictation. He absolutely loves it. He has a very old one that you had to “train” in order for it to get used to your speech patterns. This one rarely makes an error, and was ready to use right out of the box. He says the microphone quality is superb (again, compared to an old model) and it was well worth the price.

Does not work with OS 13 (Ventura)
I purchased this product before I purchased a new computer. When my old Mac was running OS12 the product worked well. On Ventura, (OS13) it is non functional. It inserts additional words and has about 50% accuracy. I have contacted Philips and have been talking to them for about a month. On the website, they don't have a driver for OS 13. They sent me instructions for a Windows computer for the same problem, but of course those instructions didn't work because I have a Mac. They told me to contact Apple. I have an Olympus and a Yeti Nano which work with my dictation software even after the upgrade to Ventura, but not the Philips. What a huge waste of money and time. I wish that Philips supported their products.

excellent voice recognition
This is the fourth generation of Philips SpeechMike that i have owned over the past at least 12 years and coupled with the latest Dragon software it is by far the most accurate setup i have used. In the past I often wondered if upgrading the SpeechMike or Dragon version made a definite difference -- now, there is no question.

It stops working but able to get a new one
It was working great. Speech recognition was good. Then it stop working 10 months into it.Addendum: I reached out to philips via email and the company reached out to the supplier. I was able to get a new one under warranty. This, I updated the review. I am currently happy with my current speechmike.
