I don't trust the swivel hook
Everything came as described and it holds the hammock so far but we are not using the hammock anymore until I find a better solution. First of all, the swivel hook does not swivel when someone is in the hammock after about the first day. Second, you will find this exact same swivel all over Amazon with ratings from 300lb to 940lb and a lot of reviews showing it broke! I found the exact same swivel at a big box store and it is rated at a mere 100lbs! Third, the welds on the mounting bracket looked spotty and it wasn't even straight. I used an eye bolt I had instead. Finally - READ the other reviews on this item. I just skimmed over them before ordering. Looking at them again a majority are extremely strange.

WARNING!!!
I purchased this set a couple of months ago to use in our newly refurbished sunroom. It has been used almost daily by both myself and my children aged 5 - 11. The other day when I was sitting, I was literally dropped to the floor when the swivel hook broke. Upon closer inspection, you could see where the metal had worn down from the swinging weight of the hammock chair. As someone with prior back issues, I was stunned and quite hurt upon falling. I hit my backside and head. Thankfully an older person like my parents were not in the hammock chair when this happened, as it could've caused major injury. Please take this swivel hook out of this pack and replace it with one made of good, sturdy metal! The metal it is made of looks like pot metal and is very cheap. Please BEWARE!!!

Not ideal for indoor use
I only used one piece from this kit (the springy thing). The swivel hook was to small for the hammock chair I ordered and the other pieces weren't ideal for indoor use. My kit came with anchor bolts you would use for concrete. I ended up piecing our own kit together with scrap board (to lay across the ceiling beams in the attic), locknut (placed in the board), large loop bolt, some heavy duty chain (to adjust the length), and a climbing grade carabiner I had laying around the house. Its not as pretty as this kit and probably a bit extra but it gives me piece of mind knowing that its not going to fall out of the ceiling if the kids get crazy or a heavy adult decides to have a seat.

Exactly what I wanted
We've had this for about six months and we got plenty of use out of it. It seems really well-built and is pretty comfy to sit in. The one negative I have, is that because it has the long horizontal wooden bar across the top, you can't really hang this close to a wall or corner. We have a covered deck where ideally we'd be able to put this more in the corner, but if we put it there, the wooden bar would tap the wall as it sways. But I can't fault the product, because it's not like I didn't know about that bar before I bought it. Aside from that, I love it and it's very relaxing to sit in.One thing to remember is that you need to buy a mounting kit separately.

As advertised.
This worked for hanging my daughter's chair hammock up in her room. My only suggestion is to purchase either some Vaseline or graphite spray and apply it to where the hook meets the connector on the ceiling. It tends to make a creaking sound as the metal rubs. Other than that, no complaints! Will be buying more of these as I add these hammock chairs to my patio.

Sad and scary...
We installed this five months ago in a three year olds room. She is 33 lbs and uses it daily to rest or look at books. We followed directions. We went as far as going into the attic to make sure it was very, very secure - I write this because I feel it's important to know our concerns in regards to safety from the beginning. The piece broke at the swivel point. The child was very scared and has bruises this morning. The whole point of the swivel piece is for it to move. If a small child swiveled that much to cause the piece to fail, what would happen if an adult sat in it. I have NEVER written a review but feel it is important in this case.

Swivel hook broke - very dangerous
The swivel hook broke after only 3 months, causing a guest to fall out of the hammock chair at my vacation rental. The guest was upset and the chair was damaged due to the fall. I took a close-up look at the swivel hook and the metal is wearing away. I have two of these installed and it is happening on both. This is very dangerous and the product should not be sold!!

I gave 2 stars because the mounting bracket works great, however the swivel broke on two of our hammock chairs in less than 1 month holding a 65 lb child. No injuries thank the Lord but these will indeed break
