Jazz Hanon: Jazz Hanon (Revised Edition)

As professional musician - I still like to practice and try my skill at ameliorating and improving that which I do..... that was the purpose of this book.....I did noted the theory section of the book but the application and development sections would be good studies for any student !

Pretty much useless other than as a group of sight reading exercises. It misses the whole point of a hanon style book and instead of powerful digestible bits of technique that could be applied to a real jazz solo it's just needlessly complicated and not very musical lines that do little to explain the theory behind them or show how to progress. If you're a young jazz aspirant looking to build skills I would steer clear of this and head towards patterns for jazz or anything by bert ligon or mark Levine. Really disappointed

Hopefully I'll use the exercises often. Trying to allow the time to do that.

It is a verry good teaching jazz piano for beginners

Los materiales del libro son buenos y la impresión es clara. En cuanto al contenido, para mí es excelente, ya que soy principiante y no son imposibles de tocar, pero al mismo tiempo hace que uno vaya avanzando en el conocimiento de sonoridades interesantes. Creo que es una buena compra pues uno puede gastar mucho tiempo aprendiendo cosas nuevas y el precio del libro equivale quizá a lo que sería una clase de piano.

Le livre Hanon Jazz contient des exercices pratiques concernant des techniques variees qu'on peut utiliser en improvisant le jazz. Ces exercises donnent vraiement de la dexterite et font que les idees de base du jazz rentrent plus facilement dans la pratique courante: progressions, licks, bass walk, accords complexes, etc.
