Who "loves" text book?
This book is good for what it's intended to do...namely, help users learn their way around Office 2007. It get's 5 stars for it's functionality. Since I don't love having to learn the material, and probably won't ever use most of it, I can't honestly say I love it, and respectfully suggest that Amazon re-think those little pop-up descriptions of what the stars mean in their rating system. To me "It's okay" is all the enthusiasm I can muster for the process, but don't think 3 stars would be a fair rating for this book. It does what it sets out to do, and does it in an easy to follow, step by step manner that leads the user through the learning process. It fullfills it's purpose and that's the reason I got it in the first place. It's good for what it is. It deserves 5 starts, but that doesn't mean "I love it"!

REVIEW OF OFFICE 2007 FOR DUMMMIES
Fantastic book -- in keeping with all of the wonderful Dummy books I have used -- one for each of my computer programs through the years and jobs I have had. They are fun too and make learning equally enjoyable and interesting and allow me to not only use the new Windows and Office products properly, but actually to enjoy them and not feel like I am computer illiterate (which, of course I am)........Wonderful authors too!!!!!!

Works for me
I found this book to be most useful. It is rather simplistic, but that's what it is supposed to be. I do wish it included information on One Note which I use extensively and I'm sure well below it's potential because of a lack of printed support.

Very helpful, easy to understand.
Being over 65, I did not grow up with computers. Like all of the other computer books by this publisher, this book is wriien in such a way that even I can understand it. I now keep it on my computer desk at all times, for those frequent times when I need it. I would highly reccomend this book to anyone just starting to work with Microsoft Office 2007.

Microsoft Office 2007 for Dummies
I don't use microsoft windows often enough to remember how to navigate through all whats available, so this book helps me to find out what I need to do. A little time consuming but the book is always there to guide me when needed. Also I need to get to know the book to locate what I'm looking for. I am glad that I have a copy to help me when I'm stuck. A very well worth while investment.

Dummies Works Well
I haven't had the time to research the whole book but what I have read helped me with some things in Word 7. I think this book will be very helpful for those that are first learning 7, or have a medium knowledge.

Not for Outlook
I needed this for information on Outlook and thought it would be better to have information on all of office. What I got was a total of 50 pages (1/8 of the book) on Outlook and it was almost exclusively HOW TO SEND AND RECIEVE EMAIL !?!?!?!? I may be computer illiterate, but who doesn't know how to send and recieve emails? This book is only for someone who has never owned or operated a computer at all. Completely worthless as far as I am concerned.

I have just started reading this book and I think this is perfect for me to learn more about the basics of Microsoft. The office that I currently work for is using Microsoft 2007 so is this is great for me to read and practice on my lunch hours. I have had limited exposure to Microsoft over the years as a student and in the workplace. This book will give me the confidence that you are never too old to learn more about Microsoft in a fun way that is easy to understand!

Dummies for sure.
This is really low level stuff, not just for 'Dummies' but for beginners with very little or no prior knowledge of Office. Anyone with years' experience of 2003/XP will be saying "Where's <icon/option> now" but sadly this book probably won't tell you. The humour is excessive - if humour is what it is.

A great book for beginners, Brushing up on office skills and refreshers
Office 2007 for dummies covers office basics, excel, outlook, power point and access. Its a great book for beginners or refreshers if you did any of the courses a few years ago. It is also great for self study. It wont take you long before you've picked up an array of knew skills that you can pick up very quickly from this book. A very good book for the price and it will get you brushed up on your office skills

Does what it says on the tin.
I bought this as a gift for my father who was upgrading from Office 2003 to 2007.Whether you are familiar with Office, or are a newbie, it's easy to read and refer to... and more convenient (quicker) than Microsoft online help!
