Vintage Secrets: Hollywood Beauty

This is a charming look at days gone by, made up of spliced together beauty magazine articles from years ago. No beauty tip stands out as too outrageous from today’s viewpoint, but I always laugh at eggs and food ingredients used as hair masks. They are a huge mess and don’t do anything, a total waste. Olive oil? Have fun getting it out! This book is nostalgic and reminds me how an earlier, more innocent generation talked.

Very interesting to read. I've tried some of the secrets and for the most part they worked.

This was a very informative book on the beauty secrets of Old Hollywood. i just wished they did delve into women of color from the past and their practices such as Dorothy Dandridge, Lena Horne, Dolores Del Rio, Anna May Wong, etc. And the book was very limiting in only addressing a certain hair type and skin complexion.

È un ottimo modo per trascorrere il tempo e rispolverare l'inglese. Ci sono degli ottimi consigli di make up. Poi è pieno di foto patinate di dive del passato. È piacevole la lettura ,unico neo poco considerate alcune attrici come Grace Kelly, vivien Leigh, Liz Taylor esaltate invece altre, visto che parla delle donne dalla bellezza assoluta. Per il resto va bene.

Lovely little book great pictures and some good tips interesting read

This book is very informative and glamourous! Its only fault is that it does not have a lot of women of colour golden age stars … would of been nice to add Dorothy Dandridge, Eartha Kitt , Josephine baker , Anna May Wong, Dolores del Rio etc…. These women made a huge contribution to golden age glamour as well
