Snap-N-Store CD Storage Box - Pack of 1/2 - Durable Disc Holder with Lid to Store for Discs (1 Pack - Doublewide CD, Berry)

This is just what we needed. We had stacks of DVD discs slowing growing all over. Purchased a two-pack of these double wide boxes, plus a mega pack of paper cd sleeves and have now organized our collection of discs. Have over 500 discs stored between the two boxes.Made our own tab dividers as the ones online look too tall for these boxes. Just cut an 8.5x11 cardboard stock into quarters and add a label. Perfect fit.

They totally changed these. We have a pair from around 3 years ago that were perfect and all the rage, which is the reason for the predominantly stellar average reviews of this product.The size of the bottom box has changed - The snaps don't align so it pulls the material over a little more and then it is no longer even on the sides. The lid is oversized such that it the box can sit in it, but it cannot fit snugly over the top of the box, and slides around. See photo. Finally, the material itself is shiny and uneven, where it used to be matte and smooth. Super disappointing.

They must have changed these. The size of the bottom box has changed - it has been made shorter in height and slightly shorter in length. So now the lid sits on the CD cases instead of on the storage box. If you stack these, you are going to put a lot of pressure on the CD cases. It is obvious they made the bottom part smaller - probably to save a few pennies on each one. But now the product is no good.The double wide CD case is the correct height and the lid fits fine. I like the double one. Hopefully they don't have plans to change that one too.

These boxes look great on the shelf, but when full of CDs, they are heavy and not sturdy enough. The snaps that hold the boxes together often come unsnapped when the box is transported off of the shelf, and although they look nice, actually make the boxes weaker than if they were solid construction. The only benefit of the snaps is that you can fold the box flat when not in use...but you buy the box to use it, so it is only useful in shipping the boxes to you.

Does the job, but does unsnap easily. Great for the price. Holds at least 150 DVDs in plastic sleeves instead of cases, if you're looking for a space saver like we were. The photo with the full box is showing 150 movies (some with only one disc per sleeve, some with two) in plastic sleeves.

The DVD and CD boxes are overall excellent: they're sturdy, easy to put together, and stack well. I'd give the DVD boxes 5 stars in particular--no complaints. However, the CD boxes have one caveat you may want to be aware of.For the DVD boxes, the tops of most DVDs (excepting collector's editions and similar slightly-oversized cases) will be just below the top edges of the box. However, the CD boxes are clearly designed so that the CD cases will stick out above this level (as shown in picture). If you are comfortable with this, it may not be an issue, but I am not thrilled about it. (I would be especially concerned about this with sleeves.)However, the picture contains the entirety of my remaining CD collection, and so I can simply place a rag in one end as a cushion and tilt the CDs so that they dip below the level of the top of the box, and get it closed flatly that way.I would not recommend stacking these more than 3-4 units high (probably not for either, but definitely not for the CDs). I say this more as a natural limit of the folding design, not as a criticism. The height of the CD boxes is my only real criticism.

I was pretty happy with my purchase at first. I wanted to store holiday DVDs, VHS tapes in the cardboard, and VHS tapes in the bigger plastic cases. The DVD storage boxes held the DVDs and the cardboard covered VHS tapes, but not the plastic ones, so I tried this size, and it worked. I was even sorry that I did not order this size only.I had two small gripes. The first was that the flap inside holds the male snap rather than the female, so it presses in on the cases. It aggrevated me a little more than it should have, because it should have been pretty self evident to whomever designed this that it should be the other way round -- everything I buy these days has something like this, and, it really is starting to get to me. Anyway...the other gripe was that one of the corners on the cover was smushed -- only worth a "son of a....", and not worth returning. Unfortunately, when I opened up the other two, they not only had smushed corners on the covers, but the corners were torn. That IS something that makes it worth returning, and I hate returning stuff.I can't believe that I am the only person to have this problem. The company had to have messed up a whole shipment and just let them go, and that is what bothers me most of all.

Use the lids for a display and extra storage. Just set the lid on top when you need it out of the way. Put movies or games that are similar to the ones stored behind it (action, favorites, tv shows...).

Give this 1 star as it did arrive on time however this product looked very much like a factory second. Ill fitting lid and poor corners, rusty metal pieces and was skewiff.
