Disappointing and rather small
There are several things wrong with this product:1. If you hang it, it will tip under even light birds and the seeds will shift to one end, spilling out. Worse, the only way to hang it short of drilling holes in the ends (dubious since it is plastic) is the center hook, which is close to useless for the purpose.2. For the price the size is quite small, especially considering it is made of plastic. It's about half the size of the vinyl lids used on 5 gallon paint buckets (I know since that is what I used to jury rig a set up to keep it from tilting).3. It looks to be made of the kind of hard plastic that will fail due to exposure to sunlight, which in my experience first crazes, then breaks up under any kind of stress ... I will be surprised if I get two seasons out of it.4. It is literally a tray, rectangular rather than round, and the perimeter does not provide birds with a perch to land on. I think an aluminum baking pan with a few small holes drilled in it for drainage would serve as well (and at less cost). It might be OK on a pole (you supply) and does seem to drain OK, but I can't recommend it even if it were half the price. I think my vinyl paint can lid (that I drilled a few holes in for drainage) will probably end up being what the birds prefer since its rim is better suited to bird feet. In a nutshell, the design is terrible and not a good choice for feeding birds.

Nice for viewing birds but not perfect
I like that you can see all the birds that come to the feeder, & it's easy to refill, but I had to use duct tape on the handle to keep it from tipping & spilling the contents. Also, small bits of feed tend to get stuck in the drainage holes. I've had to pick them out to keep the seed from getting soggy.

iffy
This is a replacement for one I had for many years. Problem is its plastic and if a raccoon or opossum gets on it their weight can make it break. But my previous one was threaded which helped a lot. This new one is not threaded so I doubt it will stay on the pole very long. Even a gust of wind will probably take it off.

Good product at a great price
We've had these for at least a month and they're working out fine. They've actually become quite a bit of entertainment for us. The squirrels climb up to a tree branch that branches out towards our feeder pole and take aim for it with a long way to go ... but he makes it and then gets the prize. Don't mind them eating on the top feeder since that leaves the 4 feeders on the pole for the songbirds. They're not as large as a tray feeder that we've had before, but they don't need to be.

Great pole feeder
This is a nice feeder to sit on top a fencepost, the birds and critters seem to like it a lot. Good price and quick shipping as well.

Serves its purpose perfectly
We love this seed tray, it suits our purposes perfectly. We've never had a tipping problem.

Great feeder tray
Works great on bird feeder pole..not real big but hangs and balances on pole better than the larger trays..holds 2 pounds of seed but I put in half the amount and fill more often so I can clean out between feedings.

It is a little light but enjoy having this for my smaller birds
It is a little light but enjoy having this for my smaller birds. It is great to hang on the edge of my deck and watching birds keep me happy every day.
