Great Antenna
I got this for my Yaesu VX-6 because the stock rubber duck is trash. I've used these antennas on my cheap HT's for years, and this one is no different. Good gain, low SWR, and much better reach. I only gave it 4 stars in durability because it's an SMA connector, and they tend to be fragile by nature. Not anyone's fault, just the nature of the connection style. It also came with the gasket to seal the connector. For hunting/hiking in inclement weather, this will be just what I needed.

All around good antenna.
I bought four of these. Three for my DMR hotspots and one for one of my DMR handheld radios. I've had no issues with the antennas thus far. They seem to perform well, I can now hit repeaters that I couldn't with the stock rubber duck. All in all, I would recommend this antenna as a good budget option. P.s. I would definitely recommend this over the abree any day of the week. I couldn't tell you if it performs any better or worse (because I haven't noticed a difference) but the slim whip is easier to handle.

Pleasantly surprised
This is a substantial, beefy antenna for an HT, but it is a definite improvement over the rubber duck antenna that came with my FT-60. I went from S-4 to S-6 on both TX and RX to a repeater 25 miles away, and that's really the bottom line, isn't it?My only concern is that this antenna has enough mass and stiffness to it that a good whack could possibly damage the HT's SMA connector. At one point I had a very lightweight Prime antenna for this HT, and would have no such concerns with it. Even so, this is the antenna that will stay on the FT-60, as its performance is just what I was hoping for.Photo shows the antenna on my HT for scale. It's a big'un.

I expected a little more
I bought this thinking it would clear up some distant repeaters. It seems to perform just as well as the stubby antenna that came with the FT-70 Yaesu. Maybe it'll have a little more reach on TX.

decent antenna for the money (not tested with SWR)
This was a replacement for my 771 that finally bit the dust. Seems to work fine. I have not tested with SWR, only signal reports from the repeaters I normally use. The fit is a little tight on the threads, but easily doable.

High quality, great upgrade
I got this antenna for a Retevis RT3S and it fits perfectly, not too long and eliminates all static and the radio sounds clear with a strong signal. Perfect match. Great price too making it a real value. 73.

35mm to GMRS
If you trim this antenna exactly 35mm, it makes an EXCELLENT GMRS antenna! 1.0 SWR on almost all GMRS frequencies. I took this advice from another review and it is right on. Product tested with a meter. Range was increased as well.

Higher Output Than The Standard Factory Supplied Antenna.
This antenna is a must-have for your dual band HT. It's inexpensive and well worth the price. I've been using mine for a few years now with my Yaesu and have received many positive comments on my signal strength especially on out of town repeaters. Try one, you'll be pleased with the results.
