1612 Rapitest pH Soil Tester (Soil Test Kit for pH (2-Pack))

I bought this unit because it was in the top 3 of reccomended pH testers. But you cannot buy the capsules in the UK, I emailed the makers in America and they cannot give me a suppler in Europe even. So do not buy this white elephant.

Imagine if you used this test and it showed a ph of 6.5 and you think your soil is good. Then you plant but your plants just aren't thriving like you think they should only to then find out through a lab test that the ph is actually 8, not 6.5. Well that's what happened to me. Being off by 1.5 points makes this test worthless.

They work well but like everything on Scamazon t's a cheap imitation of the same product a decade ago. Which frankly I am sick of.

I am not certain how accurate this test set is because i have not compared it with anything else; however it was easy to use. The only difficulty I had was pulling the gel capsule apart and getting the powder out of the capsule without touching it; so I cut off the end of the capsule and poured the powder into the tester. Results were fast and easy to read.

initially my test did not agree with MSU lab findings. Contacted luster leaf and they sent new capsules. I re-tested and the results match. It says test results in 2 minutes, but I found the sample had to settle almost 5 minutes before I got proper reading. Color change occurred in less than 2. Be careful capsules are a little hard to open and you don't want to lose any chemical.
