Great hunting snack
Smell is strong, but it tastes great! Highly recommend for lightweight protein

Carefully crafted by skilled food artisans to be completely unpalatable
As a rule. I do not submit negative reviews, but this product has earned special treatment. I have never tasted a worse "snack" in my life. I love fish. I love the taste of fish. I was not hesitant about trying this product as a fish-based snack, And it is horrible. The best thing I could say about the taste is that it is weak and non-offensive. But the mouth feel! Ugh! The wafers quickly turn from a rice cake-like consistency to a fibrous mass of chewy, vaguely fish-flavored pulp. One mouthful and the bag was thrown out. This ain't your father's fish snack, and it shouldn't be yours either.

Yummy and satisfying
I’m Norwegian (living in the US) and grew up eating dried cod as a snack. These are delicious (not bland or too chewy) and I’m so happy I found them. I’m into a healthy lifestyle and weightlifting. High protein, healthy, and filling snacks that taste great are hard to come by, but these hit the spot for me. They’re pricey, but worth it. I signed up for a subscription.

So you sought out fish jerky…
So you’ve decided on expanding your taste buds with fish jerky? Here’s the quick and dirty of it: 1. Tastes like fish. 2. Smells like fish. 3. You will need a breath mint after. 4. If you burp, you will have fish burps and need subsequent breath mints. 5. Probably not the snack to take while camping-even though the bag is resealable, the amount of fish odor will attract bears. If you do take this with, consider a breath mint for the bears. They will be appreciative of the gesture. 6. It’s super healthy and high in protein so either you or the bear (from #5) will get super yoked after eating it. I suggest to eat it before the bears arrive, there’s not much scarier thing in the woods than a super yoked bear that needs a breath mint. 7. If Bears ever figure out Amazon, quickly order as much as possible, most likely it will be a new form of currency during the animal revolution. 8. This has a higher propensity to attract a Sasquatch than Jack Links beef jerky. #messin with Sasquatch 9. Probably gonna need mints for the Squatch. 10. Enough jokes, it’s actually pretty darn good and you should totally indulge in eating this snack. In a well ventilated area free of bears and the possible Squatch, unless you’re into that sort of thing.

Tasty, but smelly
Not bad, but I did get comments about the smell. If you're not eating it, the fish smell [ a lot like a can of tuna] can be off putting to others.

Perfect for people with food allergies or histamine intolerance
These are great for people with food allergies or histamine intolerance. They were exactly what I needed for backpacking. Note, they aren’t flavored. You’ve got to do that yourself. I added them to rice curry and that was good. Tried them with mashed potatoes and that was…interesting but edible after a day hiking. They also weren’t bad straight out of the package for lunches/my second dinner of mashed potatoes. NOT chewy or tough.

Not worth it - no flavor
I normally buy hardfiskr which is so different. This had no flavor, and I had to salt them and flavor them. I preferred to eat them with just butter but these needed all kinds of seasoning to enjoy. Bag is too small, cost was too high for no flavor.

Love it.
Expensive, but worth it. I bought one from Amazon to try it. I bought in bulk from the manufacturer. They are best out of the freezer (less fishy). I usually just eat from the bag. I have added salt and lime powder also. These make a great chip for avocado dip. I have also had them with eggs, soup/broth, and mustard.
