Tombs: Junji Ito Story Collection

Ok! So, as always, Junji Ito makes amazing art and stories. Everything is great MINUS the fact that it seems like they're putting the same stories in these books. I'm pretty sure I've already read 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘸 𝘕𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘋𝘰𝘰𝘳 in one of his first collections. I was super excited to see its title in the table of contents, thinking it was a continuation of the story. Sadly, it's just a repost. I've noticed that in a lot of his newer collections. Its kinda misleading when the publisher uses "fresh stories" on the cover, when really, there's a few oldies thrown in. At least mention that as well...Anyway, still a great addition to my collection! My bookcase is starting to purely be Junji Ito works! It's getting outa hand!

I’m a huge Junji ito fan and I loved this manga! The pages were all printed evenly, it came with no damage, and the translation makes sense! Love it and highly recommend if you like creepy, gory, and scary things!

As a Junji Ito fan I've really enjoyed the book, aside from a typo on a page (could be a print error). It practically sucked me in throughout the day and I couldn't help myself from finishing it the same day I got it in the mail. Beautiful art with such creative and spine tingling stories perfect for October.

I have a few Junji Ito books in my collection, and so far I love this one as much as the rest. My only gripe with this specific edition is that in most of the other ones I've read, the story builds suspense and the most "shocking" imagery is revealed upon turning a page... however, in this one, the layout has changed to where these images are on the same page as the parts leading up to it. So it kind of spoils it when you're trying to focus on the right-hand columns but there's a huge, creepy, grotesque image of the character/scene that's impossible to ignore directly to the left 😅 That's the best I can explain it, so hopefully it makes sense. Other than that it's a fantastic read!

I have been meaning to read Junji Ito but this is my first time, and I’m glad that I did! I don’t how he does it but his stories are so creepy. I enjoy the unique drawing style but most of all the eerie story telling!

This is a compilation of Ito's existing work, so if you're familiar with his work, you should check whether these are new to you. It's a excellent printing, captures the fine detail of his work well. If you like horror, and don't know Ito, this is a great start.

This enchanting volume isn’t just a feast for the eyes; it feels like a treasure trove waiting to be explored.
